S.C.O.O.B. - Scooby Doo Reboot and First of the Hanna-Barbara Cinematic Universe - Yes, this is actually a thing that's happening

It says on Wikipedia that Dan Povenmire is going to be working on the film so I will give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
I just don't see why they need a cinematic universe. I wonder what shows they would choose and if they actually plan on having the characters cross over. Can you imagine a modern Wacky Races movie? I could possibly see them doing a Dexter's Lab or Powerpuff Girls movie but with the older cartoons, there are some that are just so obscure that they aren't worth touching.

If they can't even make a good DC Cinematic Universe, then how the fuck is a Hanna Barbara Cinematic Universe supposed to work?
Simple- Just keep the tryhard grimdark and Zach Snyder away from it.

I wouldn't mind a Wacky Races movie to be honest. Though I can see why they'd start off with Scooby-Doo first.

Guys, we've always had a Hanna Barbara Cinematic Universe.

Oh, great, now we have to suffer through another live-action Flintstones movie.
Well, if it's going to be a cinematic universe, it either have to be all live action or all animated, right? So since the Scooby Doo movie is all 3D, then it stands to reason the Flintstones will be the same.

I remember my dad and brother being excited to see the Sarah Michelle Gellar version as they both love the cartoon. I think they went to see it as soon as they could.

I think a shared universe is a pretty cool idea if they put wacky races etc in. Gritty reboot of Wacky Races and Stop the pigeon. mmm.

The pigeon is re-imagined into a wisecracking smart alack voiced by a black guy.

Pffft, that came out years ago.

Oh right, forgot that existed there.

I liked Scooby Doo for about a year when I was around 14 years old. I don't know why.

It least it's full-on animation this time and not live action. I've heard the new Scooby Doo comic has been pretty good. Maybe it'll be based off that.
Thank God.

The only way a live action Scooby Doo could ever work is if they drop the CGI dog out entirely. Just get a mix of puppets and real animals like in Babe, or just don't show the dog physically at all like this version.

Let's take some time to remember some of Hanna-Barbera's greatest hits:

Hanna-Barbera was like if an entire company was made up of Andrew Dobsons who were too fucking lazy to draw backgrounds, as in ever. So much of this shit cranked out with monochrome backgrounds. Just awful.
