Saints Row thread

Not gonna lie, as someone who isn't a Saints Row fan I was interested in this reboot because GTA is dead atm for those who enjoy single player. It would of been the perfect time for GTAs biggest competitor to come back swinging and they dropped the ball so hard it almost feels like a massive joke from the devs. Well... least I got Postal 4 to wait for.

To the guys ITT who are thinking about buying the game, just pirate it or buy off a key seller. Why pay these devs for ruining what was a great series? Not to mention they clearly don't like us and their own fanbase and want a newer, shitty one. It's like paying someone 60 bucks just to say "fuck you" to you and taking a shit on the floor.

What's with companies responding to legitimate criticism with back-handed remarks? Social media in business meant to streamline communication between the consumer and the company. They do know that if this reboot doesn't sell or perform as well as its projections, they'll be down under? I doubt the audience they're catering to will be long term invested with this product.

But hey, what do I know?

Let's do it for IdolNinja, he called this project the greatest game ever which will absolutely "blow the roof off". He was also incredibly proud of the game. IdolNinja, who never sugar-coated things, also was vocal about how SR4 took the franchise to a way that it shouldn't have. Let's be open minded and wait for the gameplay. If we "boycott" it only to later find out that we had missed out on a gem of a game, it'll be too late. Volition needs your support especially after how AOM flopped.

It’s also due to the fact that most corporations look to places like Twitter and Instagram for validation. It used to be Facebook, but younger millennials and Generation Z are now the target audiences for things like this, and they mostly consume those companies on every part of their word.

It’s pretty funny since most posters said in the earlier parts of the thread that the original SR games were based on rejecting corporations and authority since they were literal rags to riches gang members who wanted to own property and be the leader of a crew who could overthrow the corporations.

At least until Saints Row IV came along.
