As gay as it sounds, everything the anti SJW YouTubers warned us would happen to media happened.
And unsurprisingly, most of the people in the comment section are just a bunch of fanboy consoomers defending this and seeing no flaws with the game. Now what kind of meds were any of them taking and can I have some? Because, as expected, it's still shit except much worse.

I wouldn't call these fanboys to be honest. Seems like bots since whenever I hear this about game or discussion about it, it's negative and it always comes from the people who played the original SR games.

As someone that loved the pre-AoM games (though 2 was by far my favorite), it's a little jarring to see just how repellent this upcoming iteration is to me. Every creative and business decision they've made seems like they somehow knew exactly what I wanted and decided to do the polar opposite.
It'll be interesting to see how this fares in the broader marketplace, but I'm not optimistic.

They already have money from Timmy Tencent and there's practically nothing else to buy or play in August so I wouldn't be surprised if it did 'okay' numbers-wise. We'll see though, after the initial blowback and the classic-fan outrage blew over they've been slowly inching their way back into marketing and the reactions seem lukewarm at best. I predict that it'll sell a decent number but won't be the hit they were hoping for, Volition will probably limp along for a while after the game is released, maybe long enough to make a sequel that doubles down on the new woke crowd, that will probably be what kills them for sure.
These are just so unbearably unfunny. Everything in this game seems that way, neutered, censored, half-baked. They didn't have the stones to try and create something more serious in tone like SR2 but also didn't have the balls to make something as irreverent as SR3/4. All the previews mention that the game feels like it's trapped in a bland soup and that's so sad to see. I had such high hopes for the reboot before it was actually shown. Way to take a good idea and just fuck it right into the dirt.
The game also looks really bad graphically, as petty as that is. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but watching it in-motion it looked like a really bad Chinese mobile game or something. Very bland UI, plastic texturework, boring environment, even the character creation was pretty boring.
This is why the 2000s will always be a better decade than 2010s and this decade and we will never recreate that decade, EVER.
