The very first thing that crossed my mind was Spirit Armor's on-again-off-again LP translation of the first game. Now I feel old.
Does anyone know if they ever finished it?

All the team attacks are screwy and they never seem to unlock routinely.
I had Claris' team attack unlock close to the end of the game and Hatsuo's only unlock when I chose her as a vice captain for one of the endings. Meanwhile Sakura's Unlocked far far earlier than any of the existing guides info listed.
There's a ton of documentation missing from just how stuff works in the game and many people are just guessing.
I didn't get any of the Koikoi wars calls until I finished the game and the story unlocks happened. They might be entirely random where you need to wait around certain unknown areas until the game decides that the event should trigger.
Mind you I went around collecting all the bromides and triggering all the "!" events every chapter.
If you want to S-rank battle bot stuff easily, remember to hit L1 to change party members, but you'll mostly want to plow through with Seiji. His combo of Circle, Circle, Circle, triangle decimates shit. Only blow his Square movie on big huge guys like the Giant Demons or Giant Roller dudes, or a huge room filling group of enemies because then that's guaranteed to refill his bar. Don't just save it for bosses, and also destroy the purple crystals because that counts towards the damage total. Three "S"s usually will get you an S rank unless one of the grades out of the two is a C then it lowers to A rank. But if you have one C and four S's then you get an S rank. Team attacks are only for bosses because they like double your damage, but they're not a make or break for S-rank because I did most of the girl's stages without them.
Out of all the girls Hatsuo is probably the hardest to S rank because she's real slow and her special is unwieldy. Sakura's special will decimate anything, Azami's special is great for AOE room clearing, Claris and Anastasia's are ranged and both do huge damage without their special automatically but the difference between the two is that Claris is group targeting while Anastasia will target one enemy with a huge beam(but the enemy has to be standing still or it can move out of the beam's trajectory).

So I've read that you need to pick her as your 1st partner in the chapter 3 revue battle, your second partner the chapter 5 (?) Revue battle or as your vice captain at the end. It is possible that on both my runs I haven't done this but I was just curious if anyone who had could confirm it unlocks in training once you unlock it in the main game.

Yeah if it's unlocked in the main game, it unlocks in training.
However if you want to do it quick, just use the attack right at the start and then Restart from The Beginning 4 more times. Do not hit restart from checkpoint or it won't count.

Yeah this is exactly what I did lol
Anybody else getting a the "events" I know how to get them for the main girls but I'm missing 4 or 5 of the other ones

You get them if you answer all the event questions right and they appear on the intermission stage screen.
Social status transfers over between playthroughs and stuff can pop up in the secondary playthrough, also during free time just keep going to every location even if nothing appears to be happening you'll get more phone calls that way.
