Sam Fennah / FailSafe42 - Atheist furry who dropped out of college; sperged to Bionicle fans about God not existing #SAVEBOB

Ask Fennah, it ain’t my story. Or just watch the show and actually pay attention to it.
I gave all of season 1 and season 2 my undivided attention. I don't know what it was, what it's point was but only that it was cute and it wanted to be squished and loved while everyone else was vaguely saying "kill it" until someone yeeted that bitch into a furnace. Should I pay more attention going through season 1? Because I gave all of Satellite City more focus than I'd like to.

Bob was a cute fishy that only wanted to love and be squished. Bob is the embodiment of love!

Wait bob was the fish?
Suprisingly enough, season 1 is better laid out than Season 2. Season 2 was an absolute mess. Season one doesn't explain anything going, as you said, but it at least has some form of linear story to it. Except it's displayed in a way of "so this happened" "oh and then this happened!" kind of like how you would tell a friend a story with general strokes instead of painting a picture of the landscape and how people held themselfs. If it's so desired I can do a detailed review on Season 1. Don't get me wrong, season 1 sucks, except it's better than season 2 by miles (and those out of the US, kilometers).

To put it simply, season one was about 20min of vague posting.

Big eyed bob was oddly cute though.

Finally, here's an interesting rabbit-hole about that weird fish character "Bob". And a telling look into the mind of Sam Fennah: "cute aggression"! (...Don't have kids, Sam.)

Oh but wait! It turns out that when Sam said that "[Bob]'s everything I HATE!", he meant that literally. What the fuck?

Bob was a good boy

God damn it. Hearing Bob scream in the furnace was horrible. That poor creature did nothing to deserve that. It was an experiment gone wrong, but I guess in this furry society there's no such thing as empathy or kindness. Good job, Fennah. You killed off a child like creature because you needed something to be an allegory, and it failed miserably. He's a hack writer, and I don't see this series going anywhere with his shitty attitude.

Bob deserved better. (:_(

I think its ironic how in a previous post, he was bragging about balancing both light and dark subjects but here we have full proof that Fennah only wants to go deep dark into his stories, going as far as to kill off such a light hearted character who just wanted to giggle, laugh, and be everyones friend.

Normally I ain't a softie, but Bob didn't earn that death.

The character I feel bad for is that blue dragon Fleisher. Ludwig didn’t actually want to save him but to laugh at Fleisher and force him to be a corpse throne for Winifred (Yeah, pretty much the blind dragon is also a cunt face as well) He was basically an outlaw because he saved someone from bleeding to death and that’s a no no to these guys. Everyone hates him because he’s not violent and not into their fetishes. He’s pretty much the sane one out of the rest. Poor bastard.

Bob being an allegory would've been better if Bob actually showed being a bad influence when dying as some demonic thing all along. Yes it would've been cliche but it would've at least made the allegory more clear than just the impression that pets are bad.
Pretty much. There's not really much I can say about the way the character was handled that hasn't already been said: it was done badly. I mean, one of my rats in particular is an attention whore, and she's not picky about where she gets her affection from, does this make her like Bob? Does this mean that she's actually evil and on par with a drug addiction? Because she just comes across as a rat who likes affection to me.

Only if you’re not paying attention.
Well let's see what Sam's fans think, right? Presumably they were paying attention.

Oh, whoops! Turns out a lot of them thought Sam was advocating for murdering the exceptional.

(If you have to dedicate a fucking livestream to explaining your allegory, then it's a shitty allegory.)

LOL Satellite City promotes eugenics, pass it on.
It kinda unironically does if you look at all the insane laws that were laid out for these creatures, including a strict breeding process, looking down on any creature that isn't them and deeming them lesser life forms (with Sam's Character for some reason, they accept his char as one of there own due to Sam wanting to be the special boy) and even partake in weird and disturbing fetishes.

My golly, it sounds like Sam made Deviant art Space Furry Nazis

I love his denial of reality on those comments. Like he devoted a great amount of time to a world of psycho furry OCs with overpowered abilities and yet struggles to explain how this little fish is anything but an allegory for eugenics. Your main character has a hat made of murder victims and draw fetish fuel based on IRL corpses, what do you think it's going to happen?

Which resulted in the destruction of their world. In the logic of the story, their way of doing things is wrong, most of them just aren’t willing to accept it yet.
You didn't read @Big Meaty Claws 's post on how Bob fails as an allegory for drugs, did you?
To be honest, I don’t think the allegory was as fleshed out as it needed to be either. But their treatment of Bob was still in line with their self-destructive culture, so it worked on that level in the logic of the story. Yeah, it’s weird as shit that Fennah flipped out about it on social media, but again, watching the show in a vaccum, that doesn’t factor in.

Have you considered the logic of the story is fucking stupid?
