Was going through mde2 and found this video of 16 or 17 year old Sam doing a goofy performance art thing in high school. Neat if you haven’t seen it. Sam’s always had charisma

I’ve always felt Sam has more in common with Frank Zappa than with the relatively modern comics he’s compared against. Both surrealist satirists that hates authority but somehow hates liberals more. Chain smokers that hate drugs. Hardworking performers but full of hypocrisy.

Both are cult leader types too. Another similarity is they both openly mock the scene and culture they're part of, but also continuously push the envelope further in that scene.

Would that make Charls Wild Man Fischer, then?

Now that you mention it, the liner notes on some of Frank's older albums give off the same schizo ramble energy as Sam's writing.

Elliott Earls is releasing another video on Sam Hyde later today, this time on "surviving nihilism":
In this episode, we have a special message for Sam Hyde's Lost Boys, a group of young men who have been drawn to Hyde's anti-establishment, nihilistic philosophy.

lmao this old fuck got some views and now his channel will be about nothing but Sam
He's a unique source of the early days of Sam's career, to be fair, when Sam only just finished his undergraduate degree in 2007 and apparently applied for a postgraduate degree with Elliott Earls' graphic design department at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. This is Sam before trolling that anime convention and TED, before going back to live with his mother, making vertical videos in front of a mirror for his Youtube channel. Sam's work soon after college was already impressing a veteran in the visual arts, particularly with how Sam thought.

Credit should also be given to the fact that someone within academe is willing to talk about Sam publicly, let alone talk about him in a positive light. Apparently he is confident in his tenure backing him up.

Sam and him should do a Minecraft stream
he could also play Andy Dick in WP2

It won't be a positive light.

Kind of late, but I'm hesitant about the return of Charls to World Peace 2. I kind of think that Charls has always gotten a bit of elevation in the MDE fanbase for no reason other than the fact there was a weird rift between him and Sam. Fans see the new stuff, some say "why is the new stuff worse than the old stuff?" and immediately point to a missing ingredient. They then attribute the full difference to that singular element, when in reality there's often a multitude of factors. Secondly, I'm not sure if this has been confirmed, but Charls strikes me as bipolar who just recently entered a manic phase. I believe there's a solid chance that will end right when filming begins and turn into a fucking mess.
