after seeing so much of nick im starting to not find him nearly as funny. i think he suffers in the podcast/livestream form after a while.Looking at the videos that Sam does with Nick really makes you think that Nick was the funnier one that has gained a lot of wit after hanging out with him all these years.
Not saying Sam can’t be funny from time to time, but Nick really can bring out the best of him when one watches his realtor videos.
It doesn't for me, but lately I've been rewatching Charlsworld old shit and his patented schizo "if you know, you know" style of nuanced comedy just fucking works for me. Way better than a Nick clip that YouTube will play next that you've already listened to before, his jokes don't hit the same twice. Maybe Charls just appeals to my unique worldview and comedic sensibility.however, his "graphic detail of killing someone" punchline gets a bit old after a while.
i have tried to watch so many clips of charls solo and i just dont fucking get him at all. hes interesting in the same way schizo /wsg/ threads are but i never laugh. It doesn't for me, but lately I've been rewatching Charlsworld old shit and his patented schizo "if you know, you know" style of nuanced comedy just fucking works for me. I think you have to post on /x/ everyday for a decade to really fully understand Charls, but he has made me bust out laughing at somethings only fellow schizoids probably understand. Must sound like gibberish to most people.i have tried to watch so many clips of charls solo and i just dont fucking get him at all. hes interesting in the same way schizo /wsg/ threads are but i never laugh.
all three have been a case study in why i dont want to see how the sausage is made.
all i want is for them to go back to skits and keep the wiggers out of the writing room.
Nigger he called Sam a fucking pillow biter and Sam still was the one who had to make amends and apologize to him.Charles clearly had a lot of animosity towards Sam before they got back together for WP2 and I was wondering if he's gotten over it or if he was just coping and attempting to.
I remember when charls first showed up on the scene and I was wondering who the hell this guy is and why sam and nick brought him on to make so many videos until I finally started to understand why he was so funny. If you go back and watch old videos you start to realize just by talking in the background how many great ideas hes come up with.i have tried to watch so many clips of charls solo and i just dont fucking get him at all. hes interesting in the same way schizo /wsg/ threads are but i never laugh.

I love Charles sketches, it’s specifically his solo stream stuff where he rambles about nothing that I don’t enjoy, thought I made that clear. The man who would never be sketch is incredible and easily my favorite of the show.I remember when charls first showed up on the scene and I was wondering who the hell this guy is and why sam and nick brought him on to make so many videos until I finally started to understand why he was so funny. I remember the one csgo video where hes obsessing watching cheating videos which sounded stupid until realizing later hes talking about stgggs and how funny the idea actually is. I still remember hearing ideas charls had back then and thinking they sounded stupid until the actual video came out a year later and suddenly seeing it made it all make sense. I feel like he kind of sees these things in his mind and has a hard time explaining it until you finally see it and its hilarious. Sam was explaining this same thing recently where Charls came in and told them to tell an extra to say "Its straight aids" which sounded dumb until they threw it in and it evidently worked.
If you go through there old stuff its a pretty funny time warp to go back and see Sam/Nick talking about charls before he was in MDE
Undeniably it’s what Charls brings to the table that elevated MDE to what it really is, his sketches bring that Lynchian charm to the fold.I love Charles sketches, it’s specifically his solo stream stuff where he rambles about nothing that I don’t enjoy, thought I made that clear. for me, its the non-stop camera shakeI think Nick's house streams were really something special, counteracting with my loss of interest in anything coming from Hyde but as time goes on the stories he tells are becoming more and more bullshit. He's got a good eye for furniture but the humble brag stories of him having decades of trade experience with this and that are starting to border on fairy tales. This isn't helped as perpetually lonely people superchat insane sums of cash to ask simple work questions (as if Nick is any way an authority past a surrogate father figure on this) instead of more housing/market related questions he may be far more qualified to ask. This results in some pretty neat house being left on screen as a 15 minute rant about something unrelated goes on.
I'm mostly nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking but the streams can get so close to perfection and miss the sun with easily avoidable bullshit. Ditching Jet was a good decision, at least with Chris the issues seem more in tune with ability and not pure laziness- like how many times are their phones too close to the mic creating feedback earrape?
