Sam didn't just have his show cancelled on adult swim. He was simultaneously banned from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, reddit, various e-commerce platforms and everywhere else. Fifteen years of videos were deleted from YouTube and there are still algorithms that prevent his videos from showing in search results and reels. Being blocked from the internet is a pretty debilitating blow for an internet content creator and anyone who isn't a complete faggot can agree with that. He couldn't even release merch because the payment processors would shut it down. The only reason he uses Gumroad is because they're the only semi competent platform that doesn't ban him.
He spent years releasing content to a significantly smaller audience just to keep the brand alive and constantly had to make new socials and ban evade. Every single one of his peers turned into left wing faggots or just gave up. You said Jet would be a trans fag if it wasn't for Sam's content and I agreed with you so you called me a redditor (lol) because I agreed for the wrong reason. Charls and Erik did an hour stream. I'm only a few minutes in. Sounds like they're going to do a podcast and the audience reception to the WP2 preview was inspiring. I haven't followed Charls after WP because he's way too schizo but this is the healthiest and most normal I've ever seen him.
I'll probably update this as I watch it:
They agreed to show WP2 at Skankfest after it was already sold out so they weren't expecting a big turn out. The lines to see the WP2 preview ended up being three hours long and Sam and Nick both performed multiple sets throughout the three day festival.
They talk about the band U2. Charls makes an argument that they used to be good but YT conveniently cut that part out.
They show the set for the new podcast. Pretty sure it's the same place Nick was streaming from the other night and also where Sam recently did stand up. They have some really nice gear. They promise it's going to be bigger and better than anyone could expect and it's going to be a big surprise.

Seems like it's going to be more of a TV show than just a podcast, either way should be good.
Erick mentions a few times that they've invested heavily in it and they NEED OUR SUPPORT, Charls refuses to disclose any details, something about not speaking too much before it's there which I understand.
They have a patreon up already which is currently there as a donation page essentially, but I'll probably pay to watch it like I do with PGL because its actually funny when it's there, unlike a lot of shit.

I think the thread should be renamed with a focus on Sam Hyde and "Friends" since none of them are worthy of their own threads. Charls and Jet are getting more recogniable, but they still fall under the "known Sam Hyde associates" umbrella with Nick and Frank. This would not include Fishtank contestants since they should stick to the dedicated Fishtank thread.

Sam has essentially found a golden calf, and he's milking it for all it's worth (even though it's still a calf). The issue is is that he's expanding rapidly in a few wrong places.
However, his investors aren't real investors with business degrees and such (full disclosure i don't have a crayon eating degree as well), and all these promises seem actually viable and achievbale. He has credit, but we'll see how long it lasts if he doesn't hit them
- Little to no advertising or hype around an event that takes place literal months from now. Fishtank's "grassroots marketing" was due, in-part, to the perfect storm of the iDubbbz controvery, which got a lot of word of mouth. If they spent some of the revenue on advertising (not even billboards, like targeted ads on social media), he can both draw in new people eluded by this "fishtank," as well as remind people that FT wasn't just a one-time thing and build hype.
- The timing of winter is actually not a good idea compared to a spring break-late may timeframe if you think about it. from December to February, the average American may have their attention divided on stuff like finals, the holidays, the NFL, etc. Also having it *yearly* instead of like every nine months builds this grandiosity: the annual Fishtank.
- He seems to be appealing to the whales, the paypigs, etc. He needs to find a source of revenue for people who don't want to drop triple to quadruple digits on this show (i.e. a majority of people). Sure, whales make up a lot of the share, but it doesn't account for the, I'm guessing, 80% of participants that cannot get over the hurdle of the first purchase. Out of the 600k unique viewers, how many are actually giving him a shit ton of money?
