This episode is a bit old at this point but I wanted to talk about something that annoyed me in it. Charls talks about how "they" supposedly got rid of some camera because it took pictures of the moon that were too good and that these pictures proved that it was fake, so they had to replace it with the cameras that ai upscale photos of the moon (or just replace your photo with a higher res version, I'm not sure exactly how it works). The thing is you can buy a relatively cheap, relatively weak telescope, that has no electronic parts and you can see the moon in stunning detail with it. I've done it, it's really cool, if it's a partial moon you can see the shadows cast by the craters. I never saw any "waves" on the moon or any weird shit. Anyone can do this, the telescope I have costs $220 dollars (it only cost $160 when I got it, damn inflation), it's not prohibitively expensive. It's just such a dumb argument and Sam and Nick just go along with it. Are they gassing him up or are they just this willfully ignorant? Is Charls just joking? Am I missing something? Am I dumb?

Hearing them call out to new producer Ryan Katsu Rivera reminded me of the whole "Ryan is leaving Gavin McInnes' Get Off My Lawn" vs " It's all just another Gavin prank, he's just training a temp to go on paternity leave"

Which caused me to come here to see if Hyde had a thread separate from Fish Tank.

I'm very late to Sam Hyde. He only really came on my radar after Christmas with the "Dear Elon" stuff.

I skimmed back 20 pages in the thread and didn't find anything on Ryan joining Hyde as a producer or any mention of his leaving McInnes.

Also noticed on Ryan's Twitter that he removed any reference to Censored.tv and is now listed as a MDE producer.



As evidenced by his Twitter banner, Rivera has been spamming Christian stuff on his X account for at least a year plus, even when he was back at GOML. I was never a regular viewer, but did watch whatever clips and free content leaked out over the years. I never saw him bring the Christian stuff on air, but there was definitely a big "finding Jesus" arc on his social media presence in the recent past. Which also made me wonder how that would affect his role as McInnes' talented impressionist happa whipping boy.

I went back to r/Censored.tv that I hadn't checked in since Jan 2025 (Ryan's departure from GOML was apparently announced Jan 16th, 2025 officially). His departure/paternity leave and training a replacement 3 months back was widely accepted as temporary vacation leave with another Gavin prank and Ryguy only training his fill-in.

Now, the consensus from Censored.tv subscribers on the board seems to be that Rivera is actually gone, many like Sean the Dud as his replacement and that his new producer gig with Hyde wasn't just a guest spot but is very real.

Can't quote @Mordecai "3 Finger" Brown but I've been listening to GOML for about five years now, was in a few discord servers for it (relax, shut up about discord already) and the only time I ever heard Ryan bring up his Christian larp was when Goyvin would ask him to rate a girl 1-10 and he'd just keep saying "I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR MY WIFE I CANT GIVE THAT WOMAN A RATING" and Gavin would get annoyed.

People forget that Sam Hydes dad went on a podcast with Channing sometime last year. They were both drinking heavily talking shit about Sam basically complaining that he somehow always manages to escape the consequences of his actions. Sam's dad is crazy old and clearly didn't understand the memes so it was extra funny when he was unironically saying stuff like, "he can't keep getting away with it." I felt bad for him though because you can tell he loves Sam a lot and really tried to make things good for him. After about two hours he was slurring his words saying that he thought Sam and Marky would end up getting married. Anyone have the clip?
