Sam Hyde

It seems like a lot of people went into this fight forgetting that Sam is an almost 40 year old, 260+ pound, lifelong smoker, who doesn't do cardio, and has mostly gone with strength training I wasn't too surprised to see he hits like a truck and has the stamina of an 80 year old woman. Though like a lot of things with Sam, it feels like the main content isn't really his selling point, it's the chaotic aura around him. Candyman wasn't really funny until he kept it up for a week straight in interviews, and went the distance with the roach call out. Apparently Sam's still going to be involved in Happypunch for the foreseeable future, although I don't really see what he'd bring to the table.

If you’ve never sparred or boxed then it should be pointed out that boxing is far more exhausting than you would ever imagine. At Sam’s size it’s not surprising that he gassed. Still, he came out the winner and probably gained new fans.
A big thing to also consider for those who only punch pads and bags is that you should also shadowbox or something similar as hitting something consistently is different than swinging and retracting without impact. Even if you're not training for a fight, fight training is a much more intense workout than you'd expect.

Sam didn't look great in the fight imo. He got gassed pretty quick (he admitted as such) but man when he finally connected with a straight it was devastating. Shout out to IamThompson or whoever for almost going the distance and never hitting the canvas. Considering Sam's 37 now probably still impressive he had a real match this late in the game. If him and Harley had a real match I'd unironically put money on Harley. His fake Irish bit was ok, more than anything his commitment to the bit even if it was stupid made it entertaining in its own way. And of course the Hasan callout was the funniest thing he's done in years. I think Sam is probably unfunny now 70% of the time but when that 30% hits it's pure meme magic gold. Glad he got a big pop from the match and got press that wasn't just hit pieces. Although he didn't walk out wearing his shooter shirt so 0/10 fuck Sam.
Most big powerhouse dudes get gassed pretty quick. Butterbean was known for this. All that mass and moving fast tires you out

Shat on Sam for not producing anything worthwhile for ages, but I gotta say, this last week has had me howling. Didn't realise what a beast he was. 6'5 and 260plbs, that's a tank of a man.

Also, KSI has gone way up in my estimations for letting him fight on the card. I bet he had all sorts of troons and faggot lefties getting on his case to cancel him, but he stuck to his guns and it payed off.

I was first introduced to MDE in 2011 through Techno Toys and Southland Extreme Interviews, but only really got into it when "An Inconvenient Anime" came out in late 2012. I have fond memories of 2013-2014 when I'd await his newer content and also watch his older 2011 vids, catching up on stuff I didn't watch at the time. His vertical vids in general were always my favorite. Very comfy and nowadays very nostalgic, especially when he's half-seriously giving advice and commentary.

Incidentally, I've on-and-off talked with him since 2013 up until late 2018 when I gave the MillionDollarExtreme2 youtube channel to him upon his request due to his main channel getting suspended. In 2016 he also asked me to make a new World Peace logo because Adult Swim found out the original 1-Infinity logo was used by James Holmes and demanded it be changed at the last minute. Unfortunately, it ended up not getting used and only showing up in at least one advertisement(?). They just opted to haphazardly put peace signs over the original logo and Sam thought it ironically added to the show's aesthetic.

Sam's honestly a genuinely nice guy whose also very intelligent. It's kinda sad to see him get retroactively typecast as some generic "AltRight" figure in the post-2016 era when his views are more complex than whatever "AltRight" fucking means, and to see Adult Swim outright lie about him slipping swastikas and shit into his show. Of course, the moment anyone takes issue with anti-white garbage they're labeled "altright" or a "nazi" so whatever. Admittedly I've not watched much of his newer content for the past few years at least since Hydewars.

I am okay of Sam roiding up to challenge twitter activists but more interested of him being more chemical imbalanced at the cost of his wellbeing. Its like watching the buildup of some horror movie creature.

This was the first Sam Hyde clip I ever saw and still one of the funniest bits ever if you actually understand who and what he's making fun of here. Plus, the Hillshire Farms hat is killer and I have been trying to find an identical one since I first saw this video in 2016.

MDE was generally funny, Nick Roechefort was just as funny as Sam. Officer Maggot Dick Cop Faggot was a great bit as well. Moms was hilarious. The Adult Swim show was mediocre but that liberal faggot Tim "Cuck" Heidecker had absolutely zero right to bitch and get it thrown off of TV simply because Sam liked Trump. I say this as someone who used to like Tim Heidecker when I was like thirteen years younger as well, but the Tim vs Sam thing really faggoted Tim Heidecker up in my mind and now I hate his guts and hope he contracts GRIDS and dies slowly for what he did to Sam & Nick.

Honestly, is there concrete evidence that Tim had a hand in getting Sam's show cancelled? I love lots of Tim & Eric stuff too, and yeah Tim turned out to be a liberal douche but I'm not entirely certain we know for a fact he had anything to do with it. If I'm wrong correct me.

For a fact, no but he posted many times about how the shown was full of alt right ideas and shouldn't be on the network. His buddy Brett Gelman was even more vocal about it and many people say he influenced Tim to use his pull at AS to get the show canceled.

From what I remember it was the buzzfeed clickbait shit that spiraled intothe show getting canned and Tim kinda mildly had a hand in it happening and had angry phonecalls about sam or some shit like that. Whatever fucking went down I also remember like a year or 2 ago sam claimed they settled their beef or whatever but like considering neither ofthem is talking about itas far as I know and are continuing being comedy guys like nothing went down I think they've just all moved on from whatever dumb shit went down there.
The moral of the story if there even is any moral, is buzzfeed is cancer, as usual.

what it sounded like is that Sam had an inside workplace scoop and read on on how Tim and his milieu felt about Sam/his show being on AS, but all we have is Tim being pressed, playing tactically oblivious and aloof, which you can let him get away with, but you'd be ignoring the guy was yugely politically opinionated and motivated

another thing is is that by virtue of not stepping in and flexing whatever influence he has to comedian-shield Sam, one might feel he greenlit the decision/took a side
it really all depends on what was actually going behind the scenes and how relevant Tim actually is

Been watching this. It's a good recap on the whole situation. Honestly Tim doesn't sound that unreasonable when he's out of character; he's clearly just a normie liberal who I may not agree with on certain things but is otherwise reasonably articulate. I also found the pepe the frog tards constantly berating and harassing Tim to be turbo cringe and distasteful, even if he did have a hand in getting the show taken down. I knew about it to some degree at the time but I wasn't aware it was this bad. Fact is they were working on pure conjecture without any concrete proof.

We can agree that anti-white tendencies and rhetoric coming from some segments of "the left" is bad and also acknowledge that the average person shouldn't be expected to react non-negatively to swastikas and holocaust references coming from unhinged sperglords hounding them on social media with zero tact over an unproven assumption.

Not entirely certain Sam handled it as best he could either, admittedly.

Something I find really funny though is all the post-ironic dirtbag leftists claiming Sam isn't funny who—in addition to probably only seeing a small percentage of his work—you just know do find that style of comedy funny but just won't admit it because of his political tendencies. You can infer it so often. I remember there was an MDE /r/chapotraphouse thread where like half the commenters were begrudgingly admitting they found him funny in the most pathetic way possible.

Memorable for years to come. Sam haters get fucked, these are the golden eggs no one else can lay
FUCK Ian/idubbz, FUCK Anisa, FUCK Ethan Klein and FUCK Hasan!
idubbz is chill he went out and legit did what Hasan is too shit-scared to ever do.

I agree with the others tho.
Idubbz is just cucked by his prostitutes/wife;
I honestly feel bad for him,
and whenever Sam talks about him I can hear the same sentiment too!

Idubbbz comes across as an hugely snakey faggot with no integrity.
I don't really feel bad for him, he's a big boy who can and does make his own decisions, Anisa being a retarded thot is not the sole reason for him being the way he is.
