How does the term "Marky Scandal" connect to Sam being cancelled? Where did I say he even should be cancelled? Again you are putting words in my mouth, and being as vague as you are accusing me of being. I don't even think it's worth bringing up, yet other people (people other than me) keep bringing it up, that's part of what makes it a scandal in the first place.

I'm going to tell you the truth about the "scandal" and I've been following it from the beginning, before this thread was even created. Keep in mind I've posted about Sam ITT a lot and have been called a liar many times but in the end I've always been proven right: the only thing Sam did with Marky that could be considered wrong was the age gap between them if they actually did hook up (which neither party has ever confirmed). I don't remember what state it happened in but the age gap was legal wherever it was. So no crime was committed whether it happened or not. Ethical and moral issues aside, I'm just saying the facts. The only truth in the Marky "scandal" is that they may have dated and hooked up.

All the other stuff like rape and beatings never happened. The bloody nose was a gag - which Marky herself admitted to. Sam does casually lie a lot, as we all just witnessed with the "she told me she had a knife" tale, but Marky said the blood stuff was a joke, from a time when he was putting women in choke holds and stuff.

The "scandal" seems bigger than it is because Channing, herself, has been posting it around various communities using various socks for a decade. She is a known liar and there's a hundred pages or more of this thread where she's getting exposed for lying. Sometimes she tells the truth but greatly exaggerates it or leaves out critical details intentionally so she really can't be trusted either way.

That's the scandal.

The legality of their realtionship is secondary. I just wondered why if idubz had a massive beef with sam, then why didn't he unload the whole chamber and adress his relationship with that girl. I think what Sam did was immoral and not having this publicly adressed will come back to bite him in the ass in the future. His current striving to become a mainstream comedian will come crashing down if he doesn't cover his heels and take ownership of what he has done. I think the avoidance of this is cowardly and does not serve his image in the long run. I'm sure he wants to sweep it under the rug, and in all honesty with the ammount of people that already seem to not give a shit then I wont be supprised it that runs out to be a viable strategy in the long term as he becomes more main stream.

Hell, many celebrities have similar stories about them that only come to light much later, after their success. And their are likely many more who remain secret forever. And I guess Seinfeld openly dated a 17 year old and nobody cared. So American's are probably just fucked in the head. That's probably why idubz doesn't care about it either.

Personally my opinions on Sam are conflicted. I watched him for many years and still looking forward to MDE2 and Joyride. But on the other hand the Marky stuff recontextualized a lot of his content, especially some specific things like the time he said "or is that a straight up hoe".

In the end, if he did nothing wrong, then why not adress it explain himself and clear the air? Probably because people wouldn't forgive him for it.
