i think its because he was a huge part of that irony bro thing and plenty of them were "ironic" racists, look at nick mullen or brace belden. So the idea that he doesn't actually have the same "ironic" sense really freaks them out. Patton Oswalt went through a reverse thing in the 2000s, he was a huge part of Jim Goad's forums and didn't realize everyone else was being serious instead of "joking" the way he was about blacks.

not really? the bot problem is huge on X and its so much easier for a thing to go viral because anyone can retweet or quote tweet it. to put in perspective how little it is, if Sam is monetized he can expect $300 off of 10 million views. meanwhile the he'd get 200x more if he got 10 million views on a 45 minute video in the pre-apocalypse days. Like its rare, but you'll see at least one video with that many views a day even if you aren't following any clickbait accounts. there's also the problem that you also have/had with facebook where if it plays its a view even if it only plays for one second. that also leads to super high view counts.
