I'll just put my thoughts here, I think the "return to form" stuff is a part bait and switch. I doubt Jet and Sam want to get involved in some overly complex storyline like the cult stuff from S2 or the large effort involved in the prank for Season 3, the complexity just doesn't work out in an improv environment and it just goes to pot, but are going to theme it like they did Season 2 to an extent with the 1970s clothing and house decor just to make it interesting to watch, to fill time, and to make each season visually distinct in the episodes later on. Specifically I feel like they're trying to go for a Mad Men / The Office / Office Space / Glengarry Glen Ross / Wolf of Wall St mix-up.
Sam's suit looks more business formal than prior seasons, almost as if he just said to his guy "make the S1 blue suit into a Trump looking suit" replete with pin stripes and his haircut even looks like a salesman CEO type.

I could easily see him adopting a highly exaggerated version of Alec Baldwin's character from Glengarry Glen Ross and the guy from Wolf of Wall Street.
This would dovetail with the food logo contest they ran a few months back to generate "things to sell" for the fish that are interesting for the viewers and aligns with the introduction of stox. The stripe from the S4 season image looks like the blinds from a Luca instagram picture and to me it looks like the kind of window frame you see in commercial real estate like offices or hospitals. I don't believe for a moment the wiggers are going to be diligently labeling every fucking item that comes through the house, putting stickers over a package of hotdogs that someone like Ian will open and cook at 3am without it ever being presented to the camera or visible -- it is just not going to happen.

For those who have never heard of it, the plot for Glengarry Glen Ross is Alex Baldwin's character shows up and tells a group of salesmen that only the top two (in fishtank's case one winner) closers for the month will be retained and the rest will be fired (fishtank elimination) there is a bunch of stuff about the leads lacking money to even be interested in these kind of sales pitches and the tactics used by some of the salesmen are straight up scams just like Wolf of Wall St. It the exact kind of dark comedy that Sam would find interesting.
Ben said he was going to be doing scenes and I don't feel like they're going to be as they were in S3, more like "commercials" with the food contest products where the fish will have to improv their way through a commercial with bizarre products and themes for the commercials as provided by Jet and Ben. Think the way they had S2 fish shill Zipp, the coffee or the product during the finale and what Ted was doing with the Jewish DNA kit before Sam snatched him up and ran him out the door. They've already tested the concept with prior fish in limited ways and they always like returning to concepts they've tested out because they know the fish can make it funny or engaging.
I know there is a handy cam clip of Shinji reading the Japanese on the coffee on Day 1 somewhere and he translates it to "Brack people" when he is kinda shilling the coffee but I just cannot find it. Ted's is probably the exact kind of thing they're aiming for though, he decides to do a skateboard trick as part of his shilling campaign before he gets snatched.
What I expect is they are either leasing or bought commercial real estate, they're going to run a season in some former office building with the fish sleeping in former office rooms converted to bedrooms and Sam and Ben are going to be hassling them about "making sales" and other stupid motivationals speeches with bizarre hooks to them full of corporate word salad shit like "we need to synergize our workflows to maintain an agile scrum diverse mindset!" and forcing the fish to shill food contest products in a room with a few HD cameras QVC style now and then with a PTZ cam overhead for the viewers to watch. This will wear thin after 10-14 days and then the season will consist of Sam kicking down cubical walls with the fish pouring mustard on each others heads for the next 4 weeks while wearing business casual clothing like slacks and collared shirts like every other season.
