I don’t think so. I think I know who it might be. There was a member who left the site recently. Members disagreed with what he was saying and he left soon after.

The website has a whole recovery section, something that I solely advocated for. Not only that, but you have to realize that most of the people that come to the site do not kill themselves. I'm of the belief that most people will end up recovering and leaving the site, which is a good thing, if they so choose.

Often times, when one is "saved" they end up attempting later anyways, so trying to actively save people will just end in failure. The best approach is to let people vent and talk about it. People feel more comfortable with knowing there's a way out if things go wrong. You may not agree that the forum does ultimately help people, but it does.

The forum isn't killing anyone at all, nor is anyone going on there encouraging anyone to do it.

SS doesn't get heavily targeted by tech CEOs and journos because SS doesn't catalogue the sexual assault and pedophilia allegations and evidence against tech CEOs and journos.

Make no mistake, attacks against the farms have nothing to do with hate speech, harassment, or any other cited philanthropic cause; any attack against the farms is motivated by the desire to suppress the information catalogued here.

The will to help others runs out long before the instinct of self preservation.
 
I was being coy, but yes, we are absolutely inorganically attacked on grounds that don't make sense considering we do what the rest of the internet does but more condensed.

I don't think a forum or website can have a major impact on someone's death. Just like Kiwifarms isn't responsible for any deaths/suicides, I also don't believe that SS would be either.

The people that come to SS and later committed suicide would have done so regardless of the site's existence.
