You don't "decant" a stew.
I know you're desperate to throw all the fancy culinary terms in you can, so that all your twit chums will think you're Julia Child, but:
1. Decant is generally used for wine, and
2. When NOT wine, means to pour off liquids and retain solids.
So did you throw away your broth and save the meat and taters? 'Cause then it wouldn't be stew, right? Just overcooked slop?
Or did your overeagerness to sound gourmet cause you to make a boo-boo, because you can't just say "I put it in tupperware" like a normal person?
Also, that is WAAAAY too much garlic for such a small amount of stew. I like garlic, but this large an amount isnt a "personal taste" thing, its an "I don't know how to cook" thing.
