I’m thankful for Kiwi Farms. When I was younger, I agreed with a lot of the Twitter nonsense and bought into the “accept everyone and everything because it can’t hurt you,” but it can. Give someone an inch, they’ll take a mile. It never stops with just one thing, and if you start censoring words and thoughts, it’ll only snowball.

I’m glad I was able to pull myself away from the hive mind, and this forum helped with that; it helped me realize how important free speech is, even if what someone says doesn’t align with my beliefs or opinions. It made me starkly aware of what spending too much time in an internet hugbox can do, how deteriorating it can be, and ironically it has helped me become more of an individual than I ever was when I aligned my thoughts with the ones who try to shut this place down.

Thanks, Kiwi Farms, for cutting through the bullshit. It means more than you know.
