Lolisho is gross but should be 100% legal and untouched because banning fiction sets a prescient that will only be exploited further. Just like the banning of Alex Jones from mainstream social media eventually exploded. so too would the policing of fiction and what is or isn't "obscene" to depict. Authoritarians only take more power, never cede it. Whether or not its a red flag for pedophilia is purely on a case-by-case basis.
Doxing is a shitty thing to do and should never be accepted. Again, another thing I tolerate only because of free speech, but if I were in charge of the Farms I'd take a harder stance against it. Then again, if I were in charge of the farms, I'd probably fucking shoot myself.
I don't have the visceral hatred for furries that most people do. I think the community as a whole has a lot of issues with immaturity and, let's be real here: autism. But I think the majority of them are perfectly nice people. Unfortunately, the seedy underbelly of the community is sickening , contains some of the worst shit I've ever heard, and someone needs to crack down on it. But I don't think the whole community should be judged for their actions. Just be a decent person no matter what stupid fandom you're in.
Being a cynical jerk is not a substitute for having a personality. I would know ): People really need to stop being such joyless pricks. Throw caution to the wind and break out into a smile.
Now, for some thoughts on lolcows:
I used to feel bad for Chris because I thought he truly didn't understand how dire his mother's condition is, and didn't realize what he did was unspeakably wrong. His newest letters proved both those things aren't true. I still can't help but feel a little empathy for him knowing he's going to lose everything and end up in prison or a mental hospital, but he deserves every bit of the shit he's getting.
Ethan Ralph is a dangerously unstable alcoholic and drug addict and he's going to end up killing himself if someone doesn't intervene. Prison will be the safest place for him if he hopefully goes to it. If not, he's going to end up killing himself or someone else.
MovieBob is a fat, loathesome jerk whose life is a hamster wheel of doing nothing to justify his smug sense of superiority while stewing in bigoted, genocidal hatred for other people. When you're observing him up close you get angry, but when you step back and look at the big picture, his life is actually pretty sad.
Patrick Tomilson is fat, stupid, cheated on that half marathon, needs to stop being a deadbeat and see his daughter, and makes pepperoni out of the corpses of black children in his basement. Also, he put his fence in backwards.
Susan Schofield is a horrible person and mother. But right now, Jani seems to be doing relatively well compared to what her life used to be like. The situation is what I would describe as "middling." She's no longer in danger, but she's dependent on a person who can't take care of herself and is totally wrapped up in psychotic delusions. But if she genuinely loves the people she's with, isn't being abused and isn't in danger, I have nothing to complain about.
Vic Mignogna did absolutely nothing wrong and I hope the Funi clique fade into miserable obscurity now that their studio is being phased out. I hope Vic's new studio does awesome.
