Science Rules!

Birds are dinosaurs (or at least dinosaur descendants) that didn't die off, everyone! Jurassic World not featuring the dinosaurs with feathers is bothering my nitpicky science nerd self quite badly.

All therapods had/have feathers. This includes Tyrannosaurus rex and all the little birdies that I feed in my backyard.

I'm the kind of nerd who sets watches NASA TV streams of launches and can spot the ISS when it flies over. :oops:

I've been interested in astronomy since I was around 8. Space is still awesome.

For example, Europa has an ocean under that ice shell, with free oxygen in it (liberated from the ice above by radiation from Jupiter), and thus may even have multicellular life (and not just microbial life).

birds = dino 2.0
also i hate the whole "dinos with feathers aren't scary"
sorry no. a t-rex with feathers can still kill the fuck out of you, it's still scary.
a cassowary has feathers, and you don't fuck around with them.

I love cosmos with Carl Sagan.

I didn't watch the new cosmos, nobody beats Sagan.

Birds can be quite scary. I know that birds like crows and blue jays can dive bomb people when they see people as threats to their babies. But these birds...they're just grotesque. Enjoy your nightmares!

My sister has very vibrant auburn hair that she's kept rather long all her life. A few years ago, a pigeon flew at her head, wanting her hair for its nest. She's had a horrific fear of birds ever since.

Does anthropology count as a science? It's certainly a social science. Anyways, my fields of interest in science are very different from one another, chemistry, botany, anthropology/archaeology and entomology.

I really like anatomy. I got to dissect fetal pigs in high school. Our budget was cut so we didn't have rubber gloves, and I got pig guts my nails after cracking the rib cage open.
It was a lot of fun. Seriously, not being a sarcastic douche. I love dissecting and I would dissect other people's pigs if they didn't want to.
