>proof positive troons will 41% themselves realizing chopping dicks off doesn't make them happy

Helluva twenty-four hours, helluva twenty-four hours. :story:
This has really been a nice replacement for that lul we had not too long ago. Almost everything about the troon world and mindset is falling apart at a rate unknown to science.

Rates of psychiatric emergencies are high both before and after gender affirming surgery. Although both the phalloplasty and vaginoplasty patients have similar overall rates of psychiatric encounters, suicide attempts are more common in the later. In fact, our observed rate of suicide attempts in the phalloplasty group is actually similar to the general population, while the vaginoplasty group's rate is more than double that of the general population.
You'd think, being gender "affirming" surgery, that the rates would go the other way.

These are the suicide rates of the general population. Roughly 20 to 23 percent are male. If MtF patients have double the rate of suicide than the general population, then their rates hit a certain number you may be familiar with.
The image you're talking about shows roughly 20 / 100,000 males die from suicide. So that would be 0.2%, not 20%. For the total it is roughly 0.1% of the population dies from suicide, and for women it is roughly 0.05% of women die from suicide. The vertical axis is deaths per 100,000 not percent, so its really easy to misread.

As far as I know no Kiwi Farmer has offed themselves. This place is pretty healthy now that I think about it.
Yeah but how would you know? If I kill myself my family isn't going to login to my account on the hate speech site to let my buddies know and none of yous know who I am outside of here. I imagine that's the case for most people here.

Can we just talk about how depressing it is that this is actually a really sad stat and psychologically speaking, we as human beings (or at least the current generations of society) are apparently programmed as such that it's more important for us to continue showcasing undying loyalty for an admittedly very new, risky and dangerous medical practice for the sake of seeming like a good, open-minded person, instead of recognizing that perhaps the best course of action is a manner of tough love? Why is it so hard for us - without deeper critical thought being necessary - to recognize that telling someone "no" can be a good thing and in the best interest of actually helping a group of people?

I remember a discussion between Ben Shapiro and Caitlyn Jenner where Ben argued that there's a psychological condition where people spontaneously feel a limb "isn't theirs" and desperately want to cut it off, and we medicate them instead of amputating the limb, so why do we go this different route with the transgender community instead of examining the mind? Caitlyn Jenner then threatened to beat him up, and all the news media went on to talk about how "hot" Caitlyn Jenner is and applaud them as the hero of that discussion.

Whatever people might think of Ben Shapiro is irrelevant here: he had a point, and we're probably wasting time and finances that could be going towards researching alternative treatment methods for these people. I mean, there's definitely something going on: I remember another study pointed out that trans people tend to have neurons in their brains more commonly found within the opposite gender, so it's not like these people are just full of shit. (though now yes, we have the additional issue where we are actively producing "transtrenders" who aren't even trans) Something is definitely wrong with the trans community, we're just probably not looking for the right solutions because we think saying "no" to a person is evil now.

The fat community is much the same: a lot of the most avid "big is beautiful" spokespeople are fucking dead in their 30's because it turns out being morbidly obese is really bad for your health. But hey, we're all good people because we were at least supportive and gave off positive vibes while they ate themselves to death, right...? That's all that matters...right...?
