On one hand, I'm somewhat annoyed at this "have your cake and eat it too" mindset of the more politically motivated.

"I publicly shouted to millions of people something that a sizable amount would be upset by, and now I'm less marketable. This is clearly everyone else's fault!"

On the other hand, creating and encouraging a society where any wrong word gets you marked for life does not help people share and evolve their feelings and beliefs. Instead you create a Pavlovian response where everyone hides the thoughts and feelings of the "real" them, and people as a whole become more insular and less genuine. Sure, at the end of the day no one has to platform you, but if you're shut out constantly by people while told they don't have to reason with you or even explain why you're wrong, what reason do you have to give the same generosity?
There's being honest with yourself and others on how you feel about certain topics and then there's being an unhinged crazy asshole shouting nonsense to get attention. Scott choose poorly.

I just want to point out that there is actual news of a six foot black child brutally stomping and almost killing a female teacher for confiscating his Nintendo Switch and not much complaining being brought towards that, yet apparently Scott Adams getting his comics removed from certain newspapers for discriminatory language is considered harmful to society.

I’m just confused.

It'd be hilarious if they discovered he was playing Hogwarts Legacy at the time.

EDIT: Oops, Hogwarts isn't on the Switch until July. Hmm, so I'm guessing what really set him off was that the teaching aide tried to do re pair the controllers so that they could have first player. Also, one wonders if this guy will get a full ride later as a lineman for Alabama state with a hit like that.

I’m glad there’s a playground for you here.

Scott Adam’s is a POS and his primary source of support is single, stupid and ignorant men. I mean his podcasts are a fucking joke.

Essentially you are an Ethan Ralph support group if you follow this guy.

You don’t even get he fucking joke or see the flaming; brighter than the sun irony that he identified as black for years and was part of a group he labeled as a hate group - you know why sarcasm flies over your head into orbit around planet Stupid you live on? Cause you take this guy seriously.

Anyone who has a little shrine for this guy next to their incel monthly subscription deserves to be harpooned as a lame excuse for a man.
At first I assumed that you only had trouble with expressing yourself in English, which is the reason why I clarified your statement for you, but now I'm positive you can barely read it too.

I'm also positive you're a retard. lmao get rekt.

This is like saying J.K. Rowling diminished Harry Potter by being anti-trans, can we be mature enough to not do that? And I don't mean in a "death of the author" sort of way, either.

If the author is anything short of a pedophile or some other manner of monster, then why should I care what opinions they hold or what they say or why should any of their public embarrassments tarnish their unrelated works?
Don't take it personally, you or I might not care what dumb shit they said but somebody else does. Meanwhile Scott Adams is digging a hole deeper with comments on podcasts and twitter. I feel like he's going to milk this "i'm Cancelled" shit endlessly just like many other grifters in the sector.

Elon musk and others have come to Scott defense in an unexpected escalation

Elon almost gets it: It's not that Scott Adams is racist or the media is the real racists, it's that "racism" is a ideological construct designed to disenfranchise you and limit your freedom to exercise your own judgement. Civil rights, meanwhile, is a legal construct that enables state violence to be used to force this secular creed on the population (not that it was ever intended to be done fairly and in good faith). It's literally not real, unlike biologically predicated and empirically proven sexual and racial dissimilarities. It's a soulless form of calling someone a heretic in the eyes of the state approved cult.

I know this thread is about Scott Adams and by extension Dilbert; but Bill Watterson has always come off as some pretentious holier than thou person. Make fun of people using complex words for the sake of it while you name your characters after philosophers and shit. Also was Calvin and Hobbes the first known example of "words words words" in the world of newspaper comic strips? Cause every strip I come across is 80% text. The art is nice, but Christ, this dude is more of a windbag than I am.
"Word words words... 80% text."
Calvin and Hobbes is the most overrated thing probably ever created after the Beatles. Yeah, I'll go with Peanuts or the Far Side or something that's witty without beating you over the head with pseudo-intellectualism.
"Beating you over the head with pseudo-intellectualism."

What a total and complete bunch of absolute nonsense and double talk.

The issue you have is with racism being by and large rejected as a virtue. You see it is a clean expression of virtue - which only a racist thinks; ergo your delusion about it.
