I think Kane's series is a technical masterpiece for someone his age. But it falls into the same trap all modern horror falls into of not LEAVING THE SCARY THING THE FUCK ALONE. Do not elaborate, do not explain the meaning of it's existence and origin. Do not make it a universe bending cosmic horror story to show off how smart and deep you are. The backrooms worked because it was a simple concept. Uncanny valley weird reality place you are forever lost in. That's all it ever needed to be. The concept was the horror. Same with SCP. But as we're seeing with this gay bum sex stuff, these degenerates see horror as a platform to either show off how clever they think they are, or exist as an outlet for the fetishes. And sometimes it's both. Neither servers the Concept that is supposed to be the Horror of the SCP.

Any internet sub-culture or hobby that is not adequately gatekept from a large influx of new users always becomes infected with cringe and/or activism.

I'm hesitant to ban people for that reason primarily because it makes martyrs out of them and justifies their victim complex. If anything, just ban people who act cringe. You'll always catch troons in that net anyway, they can't help themselves.

That one was furshit from the beginning and could be cited as one of the first obvious signs of the rot. The original image on the article at least was an image from Deviantart of someone's horror themed fursuit which should tell you enough. I can give some benefit of the doubt that whoever wrote the article was just browsing a generic 'scary' tag for material but I have a feeling that was not the case.

This generation late zoomers/alpha are devoid of creativity and can't grasp concept of true horror, inescapable dread and ability to instill fear in reader or in visual medium.
Current generation art has this generic anthromorphized sparkledog feel, fetish shit and outright templates.
I can only see horrors of collective subconscious in my lucid dreams these days. What I learned in my trips proved to me that human creativity is finite and everything else has to bow down to trannies to avoid hurt feelings.
SCP project today is concentrated generic shit, no-one is writing about what horrors are lurking in our own psyche, other vast worlds of that defy description.
Lovecraft, Kafka and Jung are rolling in their graves.
Real horror right now is to see and feel death of creativity, real time.

Here a fun thing to check out. Go to internet archive. Check the archived https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-series webpages and see what SCP's got replaced over the years.
For example. before 19 was the monster pot. It was basically bootleg Blight from batman beyond.
It also fun to see what pictures get changed over the years.
For example the Original monster pot monster looked like a hairless monkey baby with a blur filter
Now a days it looks like a hairless pug with a blur filter.

What the fuck is happening with SCP this month? It fell off of my radar after seeing the gay shit infestation and mods ignoring the downvote delete rule on the dogshit tumblr self insert SCP and now it's coming into my radar again. First was the malding at Metokur which had Karma kill a SCP fan faggot's friend, now it's this $100,000 "consent accident" garbage.
