I opened my notifications and immediately got flashbanged by this, thanks.
I genuinely think the ideological fanaticism is a problem with both sides and not just the left.
Ffs there's always someone going "well the other side are also-" yeah nigger but that's not what we're talking about is it?
On the left they'll lose their shit if you criticized kamala or biden and on the right they'd lose their shit if you criticize elon or charlie kirk.
>Comparing criticizing a president, a politician who was a candidate, and someone only the terminally online care about to the grave dancing of someone who was killed for having opinions
Brother. Brother please.
Maybe the solution is making politics illegal or something ridiculous like that.
Nah illegality is silly and will cause more problems than it solves, it should really be made socially unacceptable where you get bullied and/or ignored.

I literally said anybody endorsing his murder is a nut job in the first place. This is what I mean by hating politics in general. I just want to play video games and enjoy cool media like OG scp or static shock. Instead I get politics.:ow:

Yeah, I feel you man.

SCPtroons tend to forget that they literally owe their entire existence to some random Finn making a game about the setting. They like to think they're OG fans and that 106 has always secretly been an allegory for AIDS but the truth is if Youtubers in 2013 hadn't discovered SCP Containment Breach then they would've never known SCP ever existed and would've latched onto some other community.

I swear every nu-fag is always like this, and then when you point out their newfaggotry they want to genocide the real OG fans. So which is it? Are they an OG or do they hate them? Rhetorical question of course.

I just wonder how militaristic-like games about barely sentient monsters could be so attractive to the "muh safe space" kind.
Most people no matter who they are still like cool stuff, or creepy stuff, or mysterious stuff, or some combo thereof - "safe space" in this case is just code for "do whatever I say and don't mock my thin skin or stupid ideas and desires' than an actual safe space from actually dangerous or abusive people.

You get them into a niche hobby or thing, especially the smaller said hobby/niche is (as SCP was and really still is), they quickly take it over while virtue-signaling and abusing others' basic empathy.

Could ask that about any games that allow warcrimes, genocide, and all sorts of based and hilarious heinous acts of suffering that attracts these people. Simple answer is that they're terminally online coomers and generally horrible people desensitized by anything that doesn't personally "attack" them and even try to fetishize these things. That and they tend to imagine doing these horrible things to people they don't like.

Funny how "safe spaces" tend to be places where you aren't safe in the slightest.

Only reason that happens is because niche hobbies isn't treated like Arstotzka where everyone has to be looked over carefully and monitored to make sure they won't threaten the stability of the hobby.

Because their beliefs are but a fantasy and hence they are attracted to fantasy. Its even better since the SCP foundation has a low bar of entry in most cases. Its confusing and annoying to get the go-ahead, but in reality, you don't need a go ahead.

Just rando post, check your grammar and tone, and you should be good.

Didn't the SCP jannies literally brag about banning the OG /x/ fanbase that didn't fall into place back when the rainbow logo shit first started?

Among many other things, yes. Also, they bragged about purging the "4chan" aspect of SCP while also saying "btw the oldguard chuds from 4chan LOVE what we're doing."

Pretty sure that's a joke. God I hope that's a joke.

Take this with a huge pillar of salt cause I was never given solid evidence of this, BUT.
The story told to me years ago was the original author/s for 106, before it was really something to post on SCP, were working on an idea about how some of the mundane horrors of the modern world are actually really fucked up anomalies the Foundation has 90% locked down. AIDS would be one of those mundane horrors, but they couldn't work out an angle that didn't boil down to "could be worse, you don't even know". 106 was a later project and had, like, a sentence or two that was part of the dumped project, so the joke was "*pushes up glasses* Actually, this is about AIDS and" or some such memery.

It still would've existed because of SCP illustrated alongside smaller horror youtubers that independently picked it up between 2015-2017. By 2018 it was already super mainstream with the site flooded by redditers and then trannies took it over almost entirely by 2020.

SCP illustrated and the other smaller youtubers only picked up SCP because of it's initial popularity. That game is still the progenitor of all other projects surrounding SCP because it's ultimately how they came to know it, even if indirectly. If SCP: CB didn't exist, the same people would have just picked up a different trend.

I've read through some of the new 9000-series entries and most of it is coal. In some ways it's an apotheosis of the trend that's been going for years: pointlessly long entries filled with juvenile dialogue commentary written by someone with the maturity of a teenager. None of them are particularly good or outstanding.

I looked at the RPC Authority and that looks like it's completely dead. What a shame.
