I wouldn't get involved with RPC if you genuinely want to improve your writing skills. The quality is significantly shittier due to the age of most of its denizens, staff neglience, deeper problems with culture - among other things.

It probably isn't a good sign when a lot of the "top writers" on the site are 15 year old South American kids who garble out fanfiction.net tier works left and right all the while getting praised by the entire community for their bravery.

Just realized I haven't seen any mention of the lawsuit recently. There was an update two weeks ago:

It seems like everything is going well, which is good news. At the end of the day they'll probably win the case and everyone will get the chance to dunk on Andrey. Does anyone have any thoughts about the amount of transparency? We're still totally in the dark about how the funds are being used, or how much longer donations are going to be open, now that I consider it.

I think someone asked on reddit and they said that they need to pay more money further down the line for court fees and shit. IDK how true that is but thats the reason the donations are still open

The RPC Wiki has much stricter submission guidelines and a smaller readership but some people prefer to write for it because it's newer and thus they don't feel like they're standing in the shadow of old, popular authors. Obviously it's not the same as having an "official SCP", but there is an active SCP fan community and you won't have to worry about the voting system.

As Phantomguy already said, writing for the RPC is simply a different brand of autism. You won't get far if you're not part of the favored cabal. I mean a literal autistic genderspecial 17 year old who rees over 3 star ratings is part of the "Curation Team". :story: That alone sums up the "quality" of that community.

So to sum up what everyone is saying, find somewhere unrelated to any of that shit to put it. Even Reddit would be better. Just steer clear of the whole SCP situation.

We have a new episode in the ongoing saga of staff moving closer to censoring all user speech.

Lately, staff have again been frothing at the mouth to silence dissidents who use their author pages for free speech... pages that are a product of SCP’s pro-asspat culture in the first place & that are the last bastion of non-totalitarian censorship allowed (for a short while longer at least) on a creative writing site.

Really slathers on the irony to the fact that these woketards are “liberals”.

The staff is moving to punish a well-known and successful author for posting a joke article to his author page after it was downvoted into deletion on the main site, even though he removed it there within an hour of posting it.

The 05 post about the staff response is here (archive) and the usual suspects are having aneurysms as they masturbate over competing punishments, which someone suggests should be a membership revocation (admin). Looks from a disc thread that it’ll be a week-long ban though.

Oh yeah housing and protecting pedos is fine, declaring an intolerance for those not in your political identity group is no problem either, let’s just quietly brush all that shit out the back door when the fire has died down and (almost) no one is paying attention anymore, but unfunny jokes, shitposting, and freedom of self-expression?!? Reeeee!!! “Causing a headache for staff”, “sowing disruption and annoyance”?? REEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Weasel boi Rogret is taking the opportunity to again promote his pet policy that he sees as unproblematic that would allow the staff to modify anyone’s author page if deemed necessary by them. He says that speech not being sanitized by staff is “a privilege, not a right.” He calls the ability to say what you’d like to say in the spot that OG staff allowed for (apparently in error) “the author page content loophole”. Other staffers refer to the idea of free speech as a dangerous “carte blanche” (blank contract/blank check).

A lot of them are mad that this author did this apparently knowing that staff would have to be a bunch of autistic children and waste their time fetishizing their bureaucracy taking turns clenching their saliva-soaked assholes in fury over this. You don’t have to be petulant spergs guys!

There’s a reason why their “Rule Zero” is “don’t be a dick“; it’s the most common citation for offenses that lead to vague discipline including bans. It’s referred to incessantly like it’s some no-brainer norm that is so obvious as to not be numbered but in application there is no telling at all what they can and will regard as dick behavior in others, while reserving the right to be as big of dicks and assholes as they damn well please to anyone. You’re the dick if you talk back, I’ve seen it over and over again, lots of the time with A Random Day, who is a huge dick, as well as other staff.

They define and redefine what being a dick is to suit their needs so that the accusation can always stick to you and fall off of them.

There you have it, staff is that much closer to giving themselves the authority to delete whatever you say that they don’t like by calling it “indistinguishable from shitposting”, “acting in bad faith”, or simply “being a dick.”

No one is surprised, at this point I wish they’d just get it over with and step fully into being the fair dictators they all fantasize themselves to be. All other SCP platforms, like r/SCP and any SCP discord, already do this without discussion or apology. You guys are way behind your own caravan.

It’s astounding these people are able to even sit down to type with that much pole up their asses. They can’t just take a joke up in there cause there’s no room left.

Looking over the list and the response from Procyon and Kaktus, apparently the information is "half inaccurate". No other staff have responded to the doxxing, however, so only time will tell. They do seem to be downplaying it, at least in their responses on the discord.

They're baiting you, and they were probably hoping that someone would screenshot those messages. Of course they're going to tell a public server that it's no big deal to them. They don't want people to look at Kiwifarms or any similar hub of information and if they can convince the people around them that all the information and evidence in this thread is inaccurate, or an exaggeration, then it only gives them more power. Several things have been deleted since that list was posted. I wouldn't acknowledge anything these people say, if I were you. Kaktus lived in Indiana until 2017, and he was open about his move to the Atlanta area to several other authors. He's bluffing because he doesn't want a knock on his door asking him why he thought the 16-year-old was a little minx.

Dexanote's first name is Kameron and he lives in Canada, most likely Ontario. Has a big interest in Pokemon and Magic the Gathering.

Soulless is 26 (born October 10th, 1993), Chinese-American, lives in New York City and is currently seeking a PhD in computer science from the University of Buffalo.

If your doxxed address was wrong, why would you admit that? Pure smugness? That’s like “correcting” a heat-seeking missile away from decoy flares. Either the addresses are correct, or they aren’t and these are some real dumb people.

The attached image contains exhaustive detail surrounding Z/Insurgency Moon's interactions with Randomini. Specifically, it provides concrete dates and locations of all in-person interactions, planned and actual, as well as an integrated point-by-point rebuttal of Z's claim. Randomini has only interacted with two SCP fans in-person.

Any claims about in-person meetings between Randomini and other SCP site users, besides those below, are fabricated.
Any claims about Randomini having inappropriate contact with anyone via the internet or otherwise are fabricated.

Z has access to unedited, datestamped Skype logs to verify the below claims. Site administrative staff have been provided with Skype logs and other evidence and concluded Randomini was not at fault. This outcome will not be publicly logged on 05 Command site, as per site policy on harassment cases; it would also further deanonymise Z. Logs will remain private unless Z elects to release them only partially or in edited fashion, in which case all will be posted from this account.

Randomini had no knowledge of proven claims in this thread while they were occurring, is not currently an active staff member, and has negligible control over the website.
