It literally doesn't feel like SCP at all. A few oddities make their appearance like the slime and the robot head, but it's mostly just...people. Why do we care about the people? The people should be backdrops or victims, not the focus.

Josh had quite possibly the absolute worst description of SCP I've ever heard

I used to be super into SCP back in the early 2010s. It was genuinely some of the best shit ever. There was so much creativity and originality. Every kid thought it was real at first because the whole raw creepy aesthetic and scientific government organization shtick was so well done. One of the big things was that there were images with most articles that looked like actual real photos, like 478 and 173. And there were hundreds of articles, and most of them were good or at least interesting. You could spend all day just clicking the random button and reading them. Not all of them were famous so it really had the discovery and exploration feeling to it. There was an article for anything and everything. A vending machine that dispenses any liquid, a tree that will grow anything that touches it on it, the endless staircase, a virus that turns living things into clockwork cyborgs. Not to mention hours of youtube content and discussion and theorizing about it. It was genuinely some of the best horror content on the internet ever.

The way I see SCP is truly American horror content. Because the countries relatively new, we don't have centuries of folklore and tradition, and horror has to focus on more modern things, like retro tech, cyclopean or non-euclidean architecture, and computers, which I honestly find a lot more interesting.

For some reason anything cool seems to be a magnet for weirdo tumblrite trannies. Conquests 2nd law comes to mind: any organization not explicitly right wing eventually becomes left wing. We've seen this play out dozens of times over the internet. I've seen this happen personally in communities of a couple hundred I've been in. It starts out free, open, fun, and people have a common interest. Then the tranny jannies move in and start going Rule 1: The use of racial, sexual, or any other derogatory slurs is strictly prohibited. Violators will be banned instantly. Suddenly you're walking on eggshells to not offend the moderation team and oversocialized individuals who hate freedom and being non-neurotic. Depending on what it is a bunch of kids might move in and bring gay anencephaly discord drama. And of course with acidic leftist in power inevitably comes sexual misconduct. It's just a tossup whether it'll be rape allegations, grooming, underage nudes. If you're lucky it might just be them forcing their weirdo fetishes on everyone. The doorknob thing is funny to me because of course these people are the ones that are going to get super upset over that.

I still watch the exploring series on youtube and these days it seems like every new SCP is a 10 hour long articles trying to be the most powerful, important, incomprehensible, reality and existence bending thing to ever exist. It seems like every article is desperate for your attention with their GIGA THAUMIEL object class in bold red font and unorthodox page and story structure. No, I'm not impressed your SCP is completely uncontainable and could destroy of existence at any moment. It's much harder to write an article that's grounded in reality combining real science with an element of something anomalous and maybe sinister and maybe explaining real world phenomena we're already familiar with. The exemplar of a good SCP article for me would be The Skull of the White Div. There are still a few that give me the classic SCP vibes like Falling Out though. But the whole SCP universe is completely convoluted and overcrowded.

And now their going back and replacing the old pictures for legal reasons, but it's with fake looking CGI ones. The whole things public domain and anyone can use and change SCP however they want so its not like they're holding it hostage, so its not completely dead I guess. But as far as I'm concerned I don't even listen to them as background noise anymore. The communities completely pozzed and the canon is totally fucked up.

As for the lord bung thing since that's the reason I'm writing this, he had a decent massively popular youtube series with way too little content for what it was. It would be understandable if it was a side project but I think it's the only thing he does. Lazy fuck. There are plenty of non troon animators with artistic integrity that would kill for that money and use it to actually produce episodes and probably with better animation. He basically robbed people.

What bothers me most when stuff like this happens is the redditors that turn around and go "Wow, so crazy that she [has to respect the faggot's pronouns after they get exposed] would do that."

They both seem to me clumsy modern attempts at describing the same sort of "using intersecting non-euclidean angles to step outside 3 dimensional reality" plot device Lovecraft used in Dreams in the Witch House, or Frank Bellknap Long in the Hounds of Tindalos.
The idea of "no-clipping out of reality" even has shades of Stephen Kings "Thinnies" places where for whatever reason the walls between different levels of dimensional space are worn thin for some reason, and its possible to slip through, only in Kings stories like Crouch End, etc, as in the original Backrooms idea, its often unintentional, whereas in Lovecrafts and Bellknap Longs stories, the protagonist deliberately attempted to access higher order dimensions, much like the idea in Kane Pixels story.
The basic idea behind the Backrooms isn't new, and done properly it can be great, thats whats so frustrating about what the Backrooms was turned into by small minds and limited imaginations, by taking a Lovecraftian concept and filling it full of mediocre shit like almond water health pickups and "survivor colonies" totally missing the point of the Fear of the Unknown thing for trope filled shit and videogame monsters that a only a middle schooler would find entertaining.
As usual, someone with talent comes up with a great idea, and midwit imposters with small imaginations ruin it by trying to overexplain when explaination takes away from the impact instead of adding to it.

Those were the same enabling traitors who were responsible for most western entertainment and online discourse becoming as bad as it is. While ouright ignoring or banning anyone telling them that letting them in and even giving them moderation positons was a bad idea when this shit started in the first place. I was a fan of SCP up until I read 2721, aka the alien death satellite who trooned out because it went on tumblr and made a Homestuck blog. I knew it was becoming shit after I saw the jannies defending the author and article. Creepypasta is better anyways.

Call me she. Refer to me as her, him, they or whatever the fuck you want it's not going to change who I am or how I see myself. It's sometimes really hard not to get MATI when these fuckers start sperging about "respecting pronouns". If you're that weak that what another person calls you by the wrong pronouns affects you then you've got the mental age of a fucking child.

Was this guy actually big in SCP-related circles? Because looking at this shit, I can't imagine way. Everything about it's visual language, from the ugly-ass art style (which is so deeply unfit for what the creator was trying to do with it that it's incredible he even bothered), to the slightly choppy way it's animated, to the character design, to so much else, gives off the putrid stench of both "Tumblrite" and "generic animated shock comedy".
