SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

has anyone here played SCP Containment Breach
it's been overshadowed by more recent games like SCP Secret Laboratory or SCP:5K but it remains a classic

you have to be familiar with the game in order to progress at all, since you have to know what SCP-914 is and the specific room where the orange keycard spawns to even get out of the first area, which is all identical
any video you find on youtube will have the lets player wandering around the same hallways before opening up the console and noclipping out of the area
I'm pretty sure everyone here already knows about Containment Breach, but I can't be mad with it being brought up, it's a real treat. Nothing beats the genuine tension of having to keep staring at a one hit kill enemy that only moves when you're not looking at it, and also having to worry about a blinking mechanic. Still one of the best horror games out there, in my opinion.

someone should redo Containment Breach so it doesn't run like shit while adding things that make the gameplay more retard-friendly, like telling the player what keycards they need to access certain rooms, being more clear about what 914 does, and cutting out any useless SCPs that don't add to the gameplay

personally i think 173, 106, and 096 are great enemies and the game should put the player in situations where they're forced to deal with them while doing puzzles or flipping switches

The Holder of the Kiwis, where if you want it you gotta stay in the same room as Nikocado Avocado for 69 seconds and not move or blink whatsoever or else you'll die feeling the pain of one thousand suns.

The holder in question.

Average holder experience.
SCP Containment Breach
Still play it from time to time. There's some mods that are cool too. Also, someone's making a game where you play as the MTF during the containment breach. Ultimate Edition is interesting too. Shame the other SCP games are either dead (SCP-087-B), a multiplayer game run by pedophiles and rampant with children trying (and failing) to be funny, a tactical shooter run by people who have no idea what they're doing anymore, a fucking cat because they realized how many normies love cat games from Stray, whatever "Go Home Annie" is (it looks alright to be fair), etc. Secret files looks alright though. Shame the Unity port died.

Would recommend Nepheron's speedruns after people give the game a try and want to see how a pro does it. Dunno if they're a tranny or not, since when they rarely speak (at least back then, now they talk too much) they sound feminine but you know how it is on the internet these days...

I usually like how the writers try to link writings to real life events but keep the Authority uninvolved in major events. Malaysia Airlines 370, and the Tsar Bomba test being a containment failsafe are my favorites.

And then canonically, the RPC Authority (partially) did 9/11, and George W. Bush invades Iraq to seize anomalous objects.

In RPCA lore, the "Iraqi chemical weapons" were probably anomalies. :story:

RPC keeps it "grounded" in reality, SCP is going all over the place, and by all over the place I'm talking dimensions.

So I was interested in knowing what old SCPs were rewritten for "inclusiveness" sake?

Someone should try and get Metekour to read this in his next stream. It would be a funny round 2 of Jim vs The SCP writers and it would help show how much worst it gotten plus make the fags seethe
Send him some money and he'll probably do it.
We're up to the fucking 8000 series now? God I am glad I don't follow this shit any more. The only interaction I have with the wiki is this thread these days.
I assure you less than 1000 are worth reading.
Alright, what's the TLDR for this?

Well, it could be worse. Usually SCP articles are a bit longe-

:cryblood:
That's the fucking scroll bar. Dear God why? That's ONE fucking SCP, longer than probably 20 average SCP articles.

If anyone here is willing to subject themselves to 30385 words worth of content of questionable quality, I will be more than grateful for your sacrifice.

Incredibly, incredibly fucking late to this thread but I recently started reading through it and wow. I had no fucking idea Dr. Bright was not only a self insert but a massive fucking degenerate. I actually thought he was like a joke character or something. I shit you not. Especially given the page of "All the things Dr. Bright is not allowed to do at the facility." for the longest time I thought he was meant to be a meme character and not much else.

I guess that's just what happens when you don't go digging enough. I thought his entire gimmick especially with the medallion thing was like "I'm basically immortal now so who gives a fuck, I can do whatever I want. What are they going to do, kill me?" Just, wow.

EDIT: Should also specify I haven't consumed SCP media in like fucking years. So that probably didn't help my ignorance.

Basically all of the highly mentioned researchers at least early on were some form of self insert. That goes for Dr. Gears too I believe.

Welcome to the thread, most of us are the kind of tired that sleep doesn't fix. Read the thread as much as you want to get you up to speed, but it's pretty depressing. There's still some good SCP media but that's few and far between. Keep doing God's work Bob, because you were the best thing in that shitshow of a game.
