I like how "religious trauma" now doesn't have the connotation of, like, hyperfundamentalists performing actual violence, but of your slightly religious parents taking your computer away, or something stupid like that. You just know that "local lesbian commie" here is just some dorky incel who is mad at his mom for kicking him out and decided to "become the gf" because no girl would touch him.

I wish more writing works in general expanded the idea of religion beyond the brain-dead 'Religion is bad and everyone who follows it is evil!' or 'Religion is good and everyone who doesn't follow it is evil!'. I'm not saying you shouldn't write religious trauma, I'm only asking people to put thought into the idea.

Or asking questions like 'Why do I believe in it?', 'Does god love me?', 'Am I doing enough?', etc. Having characters question themselves and actual grow from it.

But that's too much to be asking from a modern SCP writer

I tried reading one of the articles but I just can't bring myself to get through more than a couple lines. It reads like one of those old Creepypasta fanfictions where the main character is an authorial self-insert who kills their middle school bullies and makes out with Jeff the Killer but it isn't funny, just really retarded and gay.

I think part of the reason is that the old creepypasta concept of "write a scary paper about a random image you found on the internet" is now considered literally illegal by wiki jannies because of copyright cuckery, they will not allow articles without clear sourcing and licensing. Furry trannies from deviantart and trooncords are basically the only group interested in contributing to the wiki at this point who are not affected by this rule because their shitty content is "original."

Incentivizing lazy niggers to make up cringy self insert fanfiction rather than writing about something that feels real significantly contributes to SCP's quality freefall.

Personally, I want to be explored how religion is a tool of community unification inevitably fulfilled by every society, be it healthy spiritual practices or not.

I was happy because it seemed like they'd already deleted it (archived, which is almost the same thing). But looking at the official wiki, entry 6159 still directs me to one of their archives full of satanic furry slop.
What's going on here?
