I’m surprised a Community Watch thread hasn’t been made about the SCP Foundation. The community is literally run by a cabal of corrupt deviants who only oust literal pedophiles when they’re forced to. It feels like some autists decided to replicate Epstein Island on a creepypasta website.

It’s more terrifying than anything the community has made that these people exist and not only haven’t faced justice for their crimes, but have a circle that will protect them as much as they can and an entire community that looks up to them.

Anyone got any links or recaps of notable incidents in the SCP community? All I can think of is Dr. Bright being shielded and protected until his noncery became too big to ignore, the immersion breaking LGBT site logo and Lord Bung going completely insane and abandoning his audience.

I would suggest looking through the highlights of this thread. It should give you a pretty good overview. After that, you can fill in the gaps.

The self-insert Homestuck satellite should be mentioned. That definitely split the site in a sense. Plus since Metokur covered it, a lot more people were aware of it.

As an aside, after skimming through SCP-7696, like... why does the main character have to be gay? It could have worked fine with a straight protagonist. I'm not opposed to the occasional gay protagonist, don't get me wrong, but it is so blatantly obvious that this was done to earn Woke Points and curry favor. Plus, it's just one example of so many on the site where it's basically, "HELLO HERE IS A FLASHING NEON LIGHT HIGHLIGHTING AN LGBTQ CHARACTER."

It took the SCP people years to get around to Doing Something about Dr. Bright, one of the most obnoxious creations and creators ever attached to the whole project, on top of being a pest. The official responses from the nuSCP team in regards to various problems over the years have been botched: there's a lot of foot-dragging, hand-wringing and talking in circles about "procedure" but not a lot being done to fix problems.

I think I remember Fishmonger, who had that… mecha-messiah girl as his main project? But I would appreciate a much more detailed refresher on him. And I know not a thing on Kalinin so I’d ask for that story too.

I wanted SCP - 9009 to win the 9000 competition. I found it marvelous and comedic gold. Read it on a 3 hour flight and I laughed consistently throughout the text. Its making fun of 70 year old senile pencil pushers who do nothing besides stop change. Very relevant as we are currently ran by 70 year old senile pencil pushers who are destroying society to keep a hold of their pension payment. Very much lovecraft cool air vibes going on with it. I find its commentary on Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin as rather funny.

Compared to most other left-wing media this one hits it out the park with comedy, on the nose satire, and a good angle it had on the SCP foundation. Favorite part is they made a 9009 breeding machine to breed an 9009 instance black enough to replace Obama in the 2008 election.

Sure enough, it's true. The statement reads:

We believe that leaving the page as is will allow the author to undertake further predatory actions. The idea is stupid, since if they get rid of both Bright/his family AND SCP-963 altogether, well, they can say goodbye to a pretty big chunk of classic stories and important parts of certain hubs. They are not deleting JUST Duckman's works, they're saying "fuck you" to other writers who contributed as well.

And even if they could delete Bright from the main wiki, they can't delete him from other branches. For example, the RU branch does not remove articles, period. We have pages going back to 2013 (and probably earlier) that were deleted off the main site still up. We've asked the leader of the branch if we are allowed to start translating articles featuring Bright that are being scrubbed, even if we source them from the web archive, and the answer is yes.

By the way, isn't the OP on X that girl who was of age and messaged Duckman first, offering nudes? Then realized she's retarded, regretted doing so, and now portrays herself as the biggest victim in this situation? 🤔

In fairness to the admins, they are currently open to suggestions on how to properly handle the works that involve Bright. I would quote the entire thing, but I'm on my phone atm.
