Bless you, cover your nose next time. No, not with you hands, your elbow you barbarian.
No, seriously, what the hell did you even say?
SCP-2747
A phenomenon that erases the history and memory of certain works of art, and unlike a traditional infohazard, it can be invoked by accident by anyone in the world if they innocently put the right cliches together. This has happened enough times that the Foundation was able to build a model of its existence from the different leftovers that it left behind.

Fuckin'...it's already a Keter you milksop of an author. Also this just...sounds retarded. "Uh oh I said 'bird is the word' too many times and now history is unraveling!" Apparently this has happened enough times that the foundation somehow was able to identify something that instantly erases art before disappearing and then somehow makes a "model" of it. Yeah and that totally won't be abused at any given time, surely. Least it's not going full Apollyon and causes all of history to unravel like it's some variation of the Tower of Babel.
And to answer your previous post before this, God that would be great. Imagine all the brainrot zoomzoom memes just vanishing from existence.
Reading more into it:
SCP-2747 was capable of manipulating the narrative it was held in, which allowed it to destroy SCP-3125 along with the Fifth World (SCP-5800), although it is later implied that 3125 was able to resurrect itself. It took control of the Scarlet King since they both were part of the narrative and the latter was used by SCP-2747 as a tool to help it in manifesting itself in other narratives. After partially merging with the comedic character of Dr. King, due to him having become a complex character with depth who inhabited a fictional world with no real character development, and enforcing the broken narrative structure of SCP-6747-A3, SCP-2747 achieved apotheosis as it ascended to the hypernarrative of the authors and readers and caused severe damage to that reality while freeing the mainstream reality of the SCP Foundation and giving that reality its own independence.
Fucking autistic mindless drivel.

MF ate the Hanged King. And of all the shit it deleted from reality it couldn't have been shit that should be erased? Lolita for example? The 120 Days of Sodom? Communist Manifesto? Of course the author probably like all these so of course they're safe. Oh and apparently it's sentient. Lovely. I'm just reading off it's "villain" page so I don't know how true it is, it sounds awful.

I personally liked it since it's the only bit of the expanded classification used and it matches the theme of darkness running through it. Likewise I also think it's one of the few good pataphysics articles, right next to the Sopranos episode that you can explore with a remote, because it originally had a point besides murdering the in-universe out-of-universe authors with magic words. I agree that making it another cosmic supervillain, maybe even a character, missed the point of the article and the mystery it built. In my head, it's this platonic ideal of a story "who" is refusing to be told and everything in the article is the aftermath of it "hitting the snooze button" instead of "waking up" to "act" in the physical world.

The simpler the SCP, the better. My favorite is the one about a haunted candy machine, it gives you a different snack depending on what currency you give it(and sometimes snacks out of this world). There is so much you can do with a concept like this, in fact I would say the best SCPs are just ordinary objects with super-natural abilities. The more complex a story gets, the more chances the writer gets to ruin it.
That's good but it's also potentially complicated. The actual rules of the machine are simple, but they can lead to complicated results.

914 is another example of a machine like this. It's the one where you feed stuff into it and choose settings like "Rough" or "Coarse" or "Extremely Fine" and then it outputs some other stuff.

Or another, like the thing that is human-shaped but apparently not sapient, which goes absolutely apeshit if anyone ever looks at it, even on camera, smashes through everything in its path and kills the viewer, then returns to docility (so long as nobody looks at it while returning it to containment).

Or the "Old Man" SCP that corrodes everything in its presence and can't really be reliably contained, and occasionally drags someone off to its pocket dimension to torture them to death.

Can't help but notice these are all early entries.

914 kinda went around the bend too. If you check out the extended test logs, it's turned into a community RP about people making robot pets and crap.

And while much of it is cringe......it's also kind of fun. They carved out a nich where the story can just be borderline lolfoundry fun.

914 was one of my favorites back in the day, the idea of just shoving something in one end and either downgrading it to its lesser components or a lesser material, to upgrading it to an extreme end was fun. I refused to check these additional test logs because I rather keep what little happiness I have with this piece of media protected from corruption. That and when I tried to check it gave me a server error so I saw it as a blessing in disguise. Just like what happened with SCP-3922's extended logs (I do find it amusing that Siivagunner saw his work in the extended logs and made a video based on it) and other SCPs I forget the names of.
Also I like how they put in a white dude, set it to 1:1, then out came an angry Hispanic with no self-preservation instincts.

I was in the middle of reading through SCP Oversimplified (or SCP o Zakkuri Shoukai for the weebs) on MangaDex, I honestly do think it's a cute series, but I saw this and immediately got the ick.

It's definitely either a translation error or the original article having one gross line, why not just say "All staff interacting with it are to be biologically female"? The whole premise is that men who interact with the SCP end up getting mutated by the candy she leaves around, and I'm sorry it wouldn't be the same for ~true and honest~ trans women.
Edit: It also introduced me to SCP-5522, which is one of the few actually good modern SCPs. Not too long, has an interesting premise (using speedrun strats for food delivery) and the ending's pretty funny. I like it!

You know, a Posadist style Communist cult that believes Anafabula would lead to the "end stage of history" would work.

But I do like the concept that the Anafabula is competing the Cosmic Starfish of Fifthism. Both would end the world and can't be fought with knowledge of it, but each are distinct in their apocalypse.

Plus, it led to the enjoyable tale, Fifthdation, which includes the hilarious line:
I heard the White House was consumed by the holes. The last words they heard the President say were 'My god, it's full of god!' Ain't that just crazy?

Probably not a translation error sadly. I'll look at the trans(heh)lator (going to assume it was originally Japanese or Korean since it needed to be translated) and see if I find something. Looks amusing but I rather not support a mystery meat goblin if I can help it and will check an another translation.
Regardless, they seem to have stopped in 2022 so eh.

Should be a -J, but I've given up on people remembering that designation exists so whatever. I skimmed it and it does sound funny so far, maybe I should make a list of good SCPs and add it to said list.

You're not wrong in that assumption, but then again this is the same SCP Wiki we're talking about where the We Are Number One meme because a non-J SCP.

I'm of the unpopular opinion that the -J list is the greatest series on the site, only slightly ahead of (unedited) series 1.
I'm fully aware that SCP-SPOOKY is just a guy yelling memes and SCP-666 1/2 is basically a long description of bad diarrhea. That doesn't stop either from getting a dumb laugh out of me every time.

What the hell is this? Did they seriously make an evil group to cry about (their poor understanding of) J.K. Rowling followers?
The funniest thing about this is the name “Just Girly Things” feels like something a troon would name a group for their cord xisters.

The writing “staff interacting are to identify as women” rather than “staff interacting must identify as women” makes it sound like the male staff members are putting on wigs and dresses just so they can deal with it. Maybe I’m just being an ESL retard but that would at least be funny.

SCP-008-J is a classic, he's literally just a guy named Geoff who unintentionally torments a commander through strange circumstances The third incident addendum gets me every time. I also admittedly have a soft spot for SCP-021-J, like it it isn't even that funny but it gives me the giggles every time I read it. SCP-027-J is a good one too. This one's so stupid and simple but I like it. I like this one because it's one big joke about making an entire SCP document to get peoples' attention about a broken ceiling, it's even called FIX MY FUCKING ROOF.

SCP-3008-J is just another fucking trans fantasy pushed as a "joke" SCP. It isn't even funny.
