SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

The sink hole in the middle of it all is that Moto42’s original article is based off of the image in the same ways video game is based off the words, so since 173 is technically a derivative of that non-commercial image, all SCP merch might be illegal.

Whatever though.

Since we’re talking licenses, I’d like to provide some clarification that only like 3-4 SCPs have their image under some copyright. The rest have their stories and likenesses licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 as previously mentioned in this thread.

CC BY-SA is a copyleft license, and compared to the public domain you could think of it as viral public domain. It specifies that you can do whatever you want with the licensed property, even commercially, with only four requirements.

1. You must attribute the original creator
2. If you create a derivative property, you must specify the changes you’ve made.
3. You must license your derivative/contributions under the same CC BY-SA license (That’s the “ShareAlike” part)
4. To further comply with rule 3, you cannot apply legal terms or technological restrictions to impede others from using the freedoms the license permits.

As an example, Cinderella is a public domain character, so Disney was able to create their own version of Cinderella who is also copyrighted by them. If Cinderella was licensed under a copyleft license, Disney’s version of the Cinderella character would also have to be licensed under the same terms.

Basically what this means is 99% of the SCP characters and articles are licensed in a way that they are not and never will be “owned” by anyone, and you’re free to share them and build on them however you want.

Aelanna 2014 logs

2014 shit-talking Djoric in #site67

Aelanna is bitter around 2017

GreenWolf being dismissed after calling out staff for having an unfair advantage in a contest (2017)

Aelanna vs Everyone 2013

Eskobar and Moose and I talking about Aelanna (2013)

Some choice aged logs I dug up, you can play a rousing game of “spot the abuser” since I saw Tox, Esko, salvage and many more lurking about this time period.

And one slightly more recent log:

Roxie Logs (2018 )

ALSO

I have recovered my Mibbit logs, literally thousands of pages of logs from staffchst and other hidden spaces. This one will take me a minute so stay tuned as I will be dumping the channel logs and PM logs both, if there’s any one day y’all want to see sooner and I have it, consider it on the way~

You have archives/backups of those Pastebins, yes? I'm asking because the last time someone posted a Pastebin here, it was mass-reported off the website within a few hours. I can't be bothered to archive any of these using archive.md right now because it's being super slow for me, so I at least want to make sure that you've got some kind of backup plan here.

By the way, some context for a few of these logs:

-Aelanna is/was a super old user, I believe she joined in 2009. She was one of the first wiki members who knew anything about computers/programming, and she did a lot of their early technical projects. She wrote Sigma-9, the site CSS theme, and she also created the chat's first bots. She was leading their effort to move off Wikidot during the period where it looked like the site would go under, but that effort abruptly stopped after she left the site. She was known for getting into regular fights with staff, and many Mods/Admins disliked her.

-Djoric is another old user from around the same time, known more for his writing than anything else. I'm not super sure what he did to piss staff off, but a lot of them didn't like him.

I do, yeah! I just found the mother lode of logs my poor laptop is struggling to compress five million lines of logs

It's fine to just download them since Pastebin makes it easy.

Well I'll be damned. And here I thought ARD's use of "nigga" was bad. I look dumb.
Yeah when the PMs come out you’ll see what I mentioned a few pages ago about the swastika channel being for the kind of humor y’all use here in the open.

🤐 but that’s all going to come out soon

Roget/Harmony has asked me to go through her IRC logs for her because her laptop is struggling to handle the amount of files. I'm going to go through her account today and grab everything I can for others here to sift through. I've just finished grabbing all of her PMs, but there's over 4000 text files total, and I'm not uploading all of those individually. Any suggestions for what I should do?

There’s no easy solution to that. 4,000 text files is a lot regardless of where they’re hosted, and most places on the internet aren’t truly secure. I think the first thing you should do is at least find out what the most obviously important logs are and upload them here. And by important I mean informative stuff that can actually be read through and analyzed.

Wait, you CAN log Mibbit widget logs?

This is delicious. You're a spiteful creature, arent you?
Well, better than being ss level “incompetent” isn’t it? They were warned by me multiple times that it would be scorched earth if they didn’t respect my rights. This is entirely on them, and I know the thinking parts of the community know it too.

Yurt, your days are numbered. There are going to be dozens of smoking guns in the logs so you all would be better off confessing and resigning now than watching as your corruption is dragged into the daylight.

SCP is trying to figure out what to do with a massive amount of potentially outgoing files and we are trying to figure out what to do with a massive amount of incoming ones. What a world.

I started downloading the channel logs 20 minutes ago and they're still not finished. After this is done I also have to export them. I only want the logs from #site67, but I have to do it this way because it only lets me download them by network.

Good luck sorting through these if I ever find a way to upload all of them. Once I have everything I'll start uploading bits and pieces that I think are valuable.
