Searching for an online programming community

Couldn't think where else to put this, never made a thread before so here goes:

I'm looking for a programming community to join (something like a matrix server, or an irc channel) that's active and discusses programming and development in depth. Here are my criteria:

1) No/little politics
2) Some banter
3) Active enough that I can read/chat in it while I'm coding

Ideally it wouldn't be focussed around one language/technology, but if the general discussion room of some big OSS project fits my requirements I'd be happy to hear it. If you use something like this and don't want it shit up by KF spergs, please feel free to pm me details. :)
 
There's the programming thread here on KF, which is pretty fun.

The channels for various programming languages on the Libera IRC network are generally pretty good. At least in the ones I lurk in, you'll be asked to go to a different channel if you wander too far off topic. Activity will vary based on the languages and time of day; Libera in general is more active during office hours in European and American time zones.
