Usually when it comes to stuff on private property that government/people want gone like a statue, house or something they will offer to buy the plot of land or object from the owners. I'd say buying the statue and removing it will probably be what is done if they're serious about removing it.

The main archive of IA is in SanFran. I hope it doesn't get affect by any of this non-sense.

You really can't trust Google for things like that. Putting aside their love of censoring ideas they dislike, they're a for-profit business. Google Books is basically dead, just like Google News Archive. There's not much money in this to make the legal fights worthwhile or to change laws. On top of that, many of the scanned books that Google did release to the public were filled with typos. No one was proof reading the OCR text, which means any scientific or mathematical work is almost useless.

Internet Archive suffers from the same copyright problems. Their website archive allowing things to be pulled at any moment undermines their efforts.
