Old comment but much older memories. That was a fun night when we raided the John Edwards sim. Granted, it was meant to be much more sophisticated in attack by appearing on stage when he was going to be doing his gay little appearance ingame (example: Anshe Chung interview with CNET), but few nigs decided to do it early and others joined in. Changed everything though with Linden and how they reacted with bans. They use to be very lenient and allowed griefing to an extent with the sim owners solely being incharge of banning per plot, but once a then high profile politician became a target, shit became more serious starting with account bans until initiating harddrive bans over the course of 3 months which is where Shoopedlife came into play to bypass it (Second Life was notoriously janky and exploitable, even more so back then). At least we got a 10 second segment brought on The Daily Show. Can't find it on Youtube, but maybe one day I'll subscribe to the Daily Show archives (it was a late March 2007 episode) and upload elsewhere.
Has/had. Second Life was a bastion of sick fucks even back in the mid-late 2000's. You went there to grief but it quickly turned into a "infidels must burn" crusade for how fucked up its denizens were. It comes as no surprise its VP is a perverted freak when its most lucrative inhabitants are treated like golden gooses by them.
Tbh I think smaller channels might be going under the radar again. Bigbunjeee has around 90k and has said nigger multiple times yet hasn't faced any punishment for it.
