US Secretary of the Navy terminates all testing on cats and dogs

The U.S. Navy has announced the termination of all testing on cats and dogs, marking an end to inhumane studies, as stated by Navy Secretary John C. Phelan. This decision follows advocacy from the White Coat Waste Project and bipartisan lawmakers seeking to halt taxpayer-funded animal testing.

National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya confirmed that the agency has closed its last beagle labs and acknowledged that animal testing often does not translate to human health.

These actions are part of a broader initiative by the Trump administration to end unethical research practices involving animals, as emphasized by various officials and organizations.

At a certain point you have to stop and admit that the rate and lethality of pitbull attacks is too high to be purely attributable to bad owners.

I know that they’re more attractive as pets to niggers, rednecks, morons, inbreds, dumbfucks, imbeciles, retards, dipshits, hayseeds and delusional fucktards, but they’ve also been heavily promoted to middle class empty-womb wine aunts and other danger-blind smoothbrains.

These worthless landsharks haven’t been the exclusive premise of the economically nonviable and the intellectually stunted for close to twenty years and guess what, they still lead the death and mutilation championship table.

The sheer number of organizations dedicated to ‘reforming the image of pitbulls’ and ‘helping pitbulls with special needs find their forever home’ doesn’t instill confidence in the breed’s stability and pacificity for anyone with a basic grasp of action and consequence.

No other breed, not even other bite-prone breeds such as German Shepherds or Rottweilers, need this level of advocacy. Ever ask yourself why? I mean, probably not, because you’re clearly someone who prefers propaganda to observable phenomena. But to those of us who possess the basic instincts of self-preservation, pitbulls are unequivocally a stupid choice as a companion animal.

It never made sense to test on cats and dogs when there was such a plentiful supply of climate scientists, politicians, globalists and anyone involved in pushing covid. The problem with testing on those far more deserving candidates is that they are so far removed from humanity as to cause difficulties when applying the test results to actual humans.

N.B. they may be ceasing the experiments but nothing will be done about those who have been happily carrying out those experiments and rewarded by the taxpayer for it.
 
It's definitely a good move, this was very wasteful and the benefits never remotely came close to the ethical costs.

The deeper problem wasn't just that it was happening, in several cases it was being used to fund/support research on behalf of Chinese companies. Or worse these companies were paying the government to do the work.

That's a big problem that needs to be addressed ASAP. The US government should be doing no research whatsoever on behalf of any private companies or foreign governments under any circumstances.

Good. There’s still a few places where animal work is needed, but lab mice, zebrafish, drosophila, nematodes and frogs work for almost everything.
Cat and dog work has never been the stuff that brings breakthroughs for human health and I am very pleased it’s being stopped there.

Got more than a few loose hekin doggos buried in my yard. Cats have never killed a random person minding their own business nor do they stand under my window barking at nothing.

Where I’m from originally is hardcore rural cattle country, and it’s understood there that any dog not in the company of a human is perfectly okay to be shot on sight.

In the late 80’s we had an old guy with no heirs sell his nearby farm to someone that broke it into land parcels and started on-selling them to hippies fleeing the city. These hippies clearly didn’t get the memo about roaming dogs. There’s an old mineshaft on the farm with a few gud bois in the bottom, three of which were pits or pit-mixes.

Calves are valuable. Uncontrolled dogs aren’t.
