That's a really good, if very theoretical question. Ethan rents the infrastructure to run his business, but customers provide the payment to sstv who pass it through to Ethan and the customers are likely made to click on a TOS indemnifying sstv against gross negligence data breaches. I guess it comes down to whose customers are they, really?

Practically, these are the sort of dedicated pigs that DSP raises and Ethan would have to go out of his way to get one of them to turn on him, let alone admit that he's even a flawed savior of the west
