They haven't made the slightest attempt to restore the site in like, what? Three weeks? At what point does it become clear to Ralph that site isn't coming back up?

He found himself a little ol' RCE (remote code execution). It allows him to run pretty much any command he wants on the system (depending on the user's privileges). He can now gain access to the server as whatever account the web server is running under. Depending on how retarded they are he may not even need to do any privilege escalation to totally own the server.

If so, is he hoping he can set up shop somewhere else before the end of next week? How will he explain that to the paypigs after lying for weeks about the site being back "soon". What about refunds?
Just the fact that a small customer like Ralph is putting at risk the their grift (didn't SS have a Q grifter making 700k? And someone else making even more? Ralph is absolutely irrelevant next to that) probably makes the decision to kick him out extremely simple.
Maybe he's as stupid as he seems and thinks the site will be back up any day now with "more security" and doesn't understand that they are just trying to get him to break the contract instead of kicking him off.

What's more telling is that the secureserver url just plain 404s, it doesn't return a forbidden or something the the 500 series that would indicate server work is happening. They straight up pressed delete on the killstream folder

I look forward Gator explaining this away, keeping in mind that there are a few ways to generate a 404:
The client's computer didn't connect to the dns server properly or at all. We all got here by kwifarms.something, so that's ruled out
The dns server deleted or fucked up an entry. Secureserver.tv does resolve so that's ruled out, anything after the / is up to them to serve to the client
The page just isn't there anymore. Seems like this one. I just can't, for the life of me, think of any reason why the secureserver people would want to just delete the killstream paywall from existence

I am pretty sure that " migrating you to a more secure setting" is how Ethan Ralph interpreted "you have x days to find someone else to do this for you and if we don't have someone to transfer it to by then, we're fucking deleting it"
Note that neither Ethan nor Shannon have directly quoted any communications from sstv in their damage control emails, rather paraphrased them, and paraphrasing is giving the emails and article the most charitable reading possible
