So I have to imagine that there are still Indians somewhere running things. Did we ever figure out who they were? If so, it seems like whoever that X22 Report Qfag is dealing with is the person that Ralph fans who got conned should be going after.

A chargeback isn't for fraud (that would be opening a fraud investigation with your institution.)

You use a chargeback when you pay for something and either don't receive what you paid for, you receive something other than what you paid for and they will not correct it, or you receive defective items and the merchant is unwilling to refund/replace them.

It usually is for fraud or outright non-performance. Any time you file a chargeback, you have to provide a reason for it, and this is limited to a small number of codes.

(Arguably Ralph did commit outright criminal fraud here, knowing that secureserver wasn't ever coming back but delaying with lies long enough that people went past the chargeback period.)

You don't have to open an outright fraud investigation for any chargeback, just file the chargeback with the code indicating fraud.

Also opening an actual fraud investigation or a chargeback on that basis usually means they'll look into you, too, to avoid so-called friendly fraud, i.e. Villain 1 sends Villain 2 money, Villain 2 gets money, Villain 1 charges back, both Villains split the proceeds.

(I forgot another major category and that's actual processing errors, like duplicate charges, charges in the wrong currency, or otherwise non-authorized transactions. These aren't necessarily "without permission," just that the actual processing was faulty.)

(And to clarify why I called Ralph's behavior soliciting fraud was if he knows he owes a refund, it is his obligation to give one, not to tell other people to issue chargebacks.)

I doubt Ralph was in cahoots with the Secureserver guys, but it would be fun if one of the paypigs’ credit card companies started digging into this.

The fraud was probably entirely on Ralph (I mean other than calling that shithole a secure server), since I wouldn't be at all surprised if he already closed the bank account associated with the undelivered services, so when/if someone charges back, they probably get their money back, but the bank can't get it back from Ralph.

So the people actually charging back are legit, they are charging back something they paid for but didn't get, but Ralph is a crook.

Almost everyone copes in some ways to try and frame their flaws as the nore acceptable ones or minimize or try to say their exact position in life no more no less is the best and produces the best people but ralph always relied on seeming to be really good in one area while admitting to being bad in another.
