I like how the IGN editor thinks those against easy mode are doing it because it means their experience was diminished and not more of the fact an easy mode would just end up being a lesser experience. Even then, the more one thinks about it, the more one wonders: how many of these people that complain about the game being "too hard" hasn't bothered with playing more aggressively, paid attention to the tutorial, or come back to an area in the game at another time when they get a tool that could help in a fight.
I keep hearing people say about how an easy mode takes nothing away from those who want to play normally not realizing it actually takes away one of the most important things in gaming. The ability to laugh at faggots who are worse than you at games.
I think they should add in an easy mode in Dark Souls 1/2/3 with the unlisted effect of making it so those players are always at the top of the "invadable target" list. Make it so the game is easier but the player has 4 invasion slots and only 1 summon slot.
And when playing they play "game journalist mode", they get cockblocked at some point, just like in old games such as Streets of Rage 3 and Contra III if they were playing on the easy setting. One can still imagine them bitching about it not being accessible while disabled gamers are able to beat the game on the difficulty it was shipped with.I approve of an easy mode on Seikero but only if its called 'Game Journalist Mode'
Also, I remember Nioh wasn't reviewed by some outlets because they whined it was 'too hard'.

This is what all games should do from now on. Include a "video game journalist mode", make the main character wear a tutu and have every NPC laugh at you. Problem solved. It was unfinished and lacked. An ending, but I did enjoy MGS:V’s “easy mode”.

There was also the Wolfenstein thing. This is what all games should do from now on. Include a "video game journalist mode", make the main character wear a tutu and have every NPC laugh at you. Problem solved.
God, I live for stuff like this.

People getting called out on their infantilization of “random marginalized group” BY said random marginalized group is the best.
What makes that even funnier: the easy mode mockery from Wolfenstein has been around since Wolfenstein 3D. Said people were either at least in diapers and at most in high school or college when it came out and only now as adults do they have to get mad at that. There was also the Wolfenstein thing.

Which of course people got mad at too because NO FUN IN VIDEO GAMES!

Since there are disabled gamers out there such as the one who beaten the corrupted monk without an easy mode, one can expect such gamers not wanting to have their hands held and yet there will be an abled body person trying to say these disabled gamers are in the wrong because of "ableism".
