I like how the IGN editor thinks those against easy mode are doing it because it means their experience was diminished and not more of the fact an easy mode would just end up being a lesser experience. Even then, the more one thinks about it, the more one wonders: how many of these people that complain about the game being "too hard" hasn't bothered with playing more aggressively, paid attention to the tutorial, or come back to an area in the game at another time when they get a tool that could help in a fight.

I find it funny how the people who wish so hard for games to be accepted as art are the same people who instantly demand that it should always cater to their taste. Artistic integrity is for neckbeards and GooberGoyims I suppose.

I keep hearing people say about how an easy mode takes nothing away from those who want to play normally not realizing it actually takes away one of the most important things in gaming. The ability to laugh at faggots who are worse than you at games.

I think they should add in an easy mode in Dark Souls 1/2/3 with the unlisted effect of making it so those players are always at the top of the "invadable target" list. Make it so the game is easier but the player has 4 invasion slots and only 1 summon slot.

And they're forced to play in a pink tutu.

I approve of an easy mode on Seikero but only if its called 'Game Journalist Mode'

Also, I remember Nioh wasn't reviewed by some outlets because they whined it was 'too hard'.

And when playing they play "game journalist mode", they get cockblocked at some point, just like in old games such as Streets of Rage 3 and Contra III if they were playing on the easy setting. One can still imagine them bitching about it not being accessible while disabled gamers are able to beat the game on the difficulty it was shipped with.

Yeah, I loved when they went, "These trolls are holding up this one disabled guy HURR" and its like, "Cunt, he did it purposely to own you."

If I were a developer I'd just never give them my game. There's so little point. Just give it to YouTubers and streamers, skip these low T faggots.

It was unfinished and lacked. An ending, but I did enjoy MGS:V’s “easy mode”.

This is what all games should do from now on. Include a "video game journalist mode", make the main character wear a tutu and have every NPC laugh at you. Problem solved.
There was also the Wolfenstein thing.

Which of course people got mad at too because NO FUN IN VIDEO GAMES!

God, I live for stuff like this.

People getting called out on their infantilization of “random marginalized group” BY said random marginalized group is the best.

Also, small reminder that Father Gascoigne is the second boss in Bloodborne and not even approaching the hardest boss in that game.

Ironically, (debatably) the hardest boss in Bloodborne is an old disabled guy in a wheelchair - how's that for representation?

This is the most disingenuous feedback for a game I’ve ever seen.

What makes that even funnier: the easy mode mockery from Wolfenstein has been around since Wolfenstein 3D. Said people were either at least in diapers and at most in high school or college when it came out and only now as adults do they have to get mad at that.

Since there are disabled gamers out there such as the one who beaten the corrupted monk without an easy mode, one can expect such gamers not wanting to have their hands held and yet there will be an abled body person trying to say these disabled gamers are in the wrong because of "ableism".
