Two things on this, first, like A&H you don't see much spillover from WW. If you're making a sheer numbers comparison here it would seem to me A&H does a better job at preventing spillover than WW does.
Second, if A&H makes up over half of the new users I'm wondering then how exactly it can be argued they're not integrating into the rest of the site, would seem to me then that perhaps the other users should integrate into A&H if its users are the majority.

I feel like I need to lose quite a good portion of my mental capabilities to understand how your brain works and makes these questions seem viable to you.

The ignore feature makes this argument dead in the crib. There's no reason you can't make a post and ignore users you don't like, and that's why I don't think this has anything to do with wanting "actual discussion".

That is not what I'm saying, it's not about having people say mean things to you ): it's that any kind of information that goes against A&H'ers beliefs will never stick, will never make them think, will never change their views. Either way would be like reading the article to a dog or to read it in an empty room, either way someone hears but cannot understand it, or nobody at all hears it.

You can still very easily see anyone you've blocked's posts. It's not even like you're missing anything if you do block users, you can see their content and are given an alert of sorts when there's blocked content on the page.

I understand where they're coming from, but it's faulty reasoning. They believe that blocking content you don't like is what Twitter users do, and it's partially responsible for turning them into the zombies they are. And they're not wrong there, but ironically, they're employing the same kind of faulty logic that Twitter is so famous for: that if a Bad Person does a Thing, it becomes a Bad Thing, and furthermore, doing the opposite of a Bad Thing is always a Good Thing. So since Twitter users block out content, it means that never blocking any content for any reason makes you superior to them.

I understand the desire to be as unlike Twitter as possible - really, I do - but subjecting yourself to a rain of shit just because your enemy overuses his umbrella is so many levels of stupid.

It went down then back up again around the time some naïve girl started posting nudes, When Null found out some of the nudes were supposedly from before said girl was of age, he decided the hateboner must die as well.
Now we're on hateboner #3 and it's not as strong as it should be.
