I dunno man. I came into this thread hoping to offer helpful advice. We're nearly 90 pages in, and it's devolved into pure shit posting where even the mods wieghed in. I guess you could say something cracked in me. This is clown world. Why so serious? huh?

If I were null, this entire thread has made a compelling arguement to delete A&H because whether the people who respond to the baitposters are retards, or the baitposters are retards, the only thing I see is a lot of retardation.

Is it worth stripping back to re-assessing the mission of the board, objectively, looking at what needs to be placed as "rules" to further the mission statement? Without a clear understanding of what the purpose of the board is, subsequent rules and even how rabble rousers are dealt with, won't be as effective. Rules are best created when the reason for both the rule makers and breakers are clear.

I think this is why you have less issue with other areas, the purpose of why those boards exist is understood/shared by the creator, rule maker and users.

I think that the mission of A&H is pretty clear.

Personally, I'd like to see reforms. The problem is, they've tried reforms and the reforms haven't worked. I'm smart enough to know that I'm retarded. How can I fix it if they can't?

That said, there are a few threads I'd be sad to see go. The Meghan Markle one is a good example. All of that stuff is super interesting. TBH, I honestly think it deserves to be moved to a place like the beauty parlor at this point, because it feels more like a proper lolcow thread than many proper lolcow threads I've browsed.
