Selecting a Despot for the Autism Thunderdome

I bought stickers from him. So I don't feel like a total freeloader. It took a while of reading this place to truly understand what tit takes to run it, controversial politics subforum and all. I'll buy more merch if I like it. I don't want to mess with crypto.

Edit: This dumb shit with a sock of a banned user is emblematic of one of the main problems A&H has. Everyone shouldn't engage, but partisanship rules minds to the point they can't even resist mediocre bait. But you can't moderate away that sort of nature. Outright of bans for being stupid, which never end well and always result in an echo chamber. People can and will dogpile when there's a group consensus on charged topics. The idea should be to moderate as little as possible, for example, whoever this is a sock of, they should just be mocked for being banned already, not what they think unless it's absolutely ridiculous or plainly illegal. I haven't seen that, so I'm just going to say "thanks for the updoots, fag" and leave it there.

You know, people are more and more just trying to say that they simply don't like the kind of discussion (or absurd lack thereof) that goes on in the political dumpster fire on a site that has few rules, and even fewer in the politisperg section. To that, I say, why not just not read it if you have such fervent opinions against it? I know the huge boogeyman of the more right leaning people in A&H is @Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and I've seen some people get way too invested in his weak trolling when he comes there, and I remember quite well the level of idiocy that was around when APC tried to do his...I have no real clue what the fuck all that was, besides one angry canuck sperging about politics south of his border and north of his ability to cope with bantz.

Really the problem with a place like A&H on a permissive board like this isn't lack of moderation or nuclear e-fire, but that the userbase doesn't know how to engage with it. And if you look at the site as a whole, then look specifically at the politics containment board, and then think, damn, these fucks need to be kicked into orbit because I disagree with them, you are the problem. You are unable to engage with viewpoints you disagree with. If a centrist libby lib like me can agree with positions of people who state they are unapologetic nazis (blah blah internet, blah blah possible sneed blah), then the state of politics (and journalism) itself is why there is so much partisanship and shitflinging.

I see many people coming into this thread essentially stating that they hate politics, or that they dislike the opinions and opinionated nature of those they disagree with. Grow up. There's always going to be people around you that you simply can't persuade. I've already stated what I think should be done with the politics sperg section, and this is the most I've ever posted in one thread here.

I'll bow out, because I feel I've said my piece.

You know it's funny to think about how segregation is a normal part of society. Truth is if you don't have clear boundaries and borders with people, things inevitably deteriorate. People talk about diversity and inclusion but the reality is they want to conquer the other sides opinion. Online in normies social media anything outside the approved conservative Inc talking points gets you ostracized. In the /Pol/, Telegram sphere of things being a tranny will get you ostracized.

Segregation is normal and it's an ugly fact. All we really want is token diversity. Anything else is just anti X thing/group/person surpremacy/hatred.
