Btw, they don't reboot with more latinos, I presume then some think they're a bit too white for their tastes?

Not even going to comment on the "woke" angle, but of all the things to reboot from the 80's, why are we going with Revenge of the Nerds? It's very much the kind of movie that could only work when it came out and even the concept couldn't work except as an explicit 80's period piece
I thought the well had finally run dry when they brought back She-Ra of all things to reboot, but if they're digging up this movie, they must be really desperate.

Can we get a movie where the nerds are the villains?
Seriously, in my high school experience, I was a shy little dork and the popular people were either A) Very cool to me or B) Ignored me, both of which are fine by me. The people I couldn't stand were the fucking nerds because they were the ones that acted like obnoxious, self righteous, and entitled pricks.
So can we get a movie where the nerds are the assholes and the good looking, athletic, and popular people are actually the good guys?

Willing to be bet this will end up a Hulu/ Disney+ project, now Disney have an adult page coming out on Disney+ in most counties outsideAmerica expect to hear more projects like this.
I fully expect remakes/tv shows/ sequels of a number of Fox ips, like There's Something About Mary, X Files, Speed, The Fly, Romancing the Stone hell even stuff like Johnny Mnemonic wouldn't be shocked if that got the treatment now with Keanu Reeves being big again
Disney own fox and will squeeze all the money they can out of their ips. When Just Married Again, Garfield's: Third Movie and remake of 28 Days Later happen don't act shocked.
