Look at his channel description. It's a bunch of New Age woowoo crap.
I am aware of that. He's also a geophysicist. (Which granted isn't the sun, but volcanoes are, and I've been getting live feeds about the volcanic activity and people dealing with it right now.)

But even if you take the weather effects out of it if we get hit by a flare the wrong way it could wipe out all of our technology, at the very least.

I agree, but I wouldn't bother making a case out of it. Thread consensus is that solar weather is completely legit to post here because solar weather affects Earth sometimes. People seem to find this stuff informative.
Fair, but you can get the info from a more objective source rather than some gabbing head on youtube who will hype up a literal nothingburger

For example:
An explanation of the scales are here. All I see for the past 24h is like R2 S0 G0 and that's nothing.

Thank you for this. I'm glad somebody actually posted some hard facts and reliable information for this phenomenon.

The reason why I critiqued the posting of those videos in the past is because it seemed exactly like sensationalist nonsense from someone hyping up solar events to be more than they really are, not really much different from the multitude of indie meteorologists who want to hype up every upcoming storm as DEFINITELY the next EF5+ maker that'll destroy everything in its path. Those people tend to muddy up the well when it comes to taking more tangible threats seriously when they do occur.

Major atmospheric river storm is barreling toward California: ‘Prepare for the worst’

Major atmospheric river storm is barreling toward California

Looks like SoCal is getting pummeled, beginning next Thursday. Expect mudslides, this can't be good news for areas full of burn scars.
Not to be unsympathetic to lives that are endangered (even if it IS California), but, damn.

So dry that crazy wildfires start quite easily. Can't take some much needed, if excessive, rainfall either without catastrophic ramifications.

What if they were to set up ways to collect that rainwater safely, it would lessen the mudslides..and you would have water for when the fires happened.

Next week is going to be crazy. By Wedensday temperatures in North America will most likely be the coldest on record, with 50 weather stations showing the potential of setting records. Additionally, this arctic blast will also bring a major snow event from the central plains to the east coast, with the worst projections for the Midatlantic States of Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina. Some of the projections are wild, with 11 to 21 inches in some places like Richmond and Greensboro.

But wait, there's more! The System could become a Nor'easter and bring a blizzard to New England if it doesn't safely go out to sea.

Start preparing. You do not want to be assed out with no power in this. Make sure you have a back up heat source like Kerosene, wood or propane and enough food/water to stay in your house for a week. Especially if you are in a Mid-Atlantic State.

Bossmanjack checked the weather app

I must be retarded, because looking at the weather app, it doesn't seem like the temperatures here will be much worse than they've been the last two weeks.

Worst of the Freeze will be the northern prairie States, but its still going to be cold as fuck everywhere else too.

academics please respond
I am retarded
will West Virginia be hit real bad or just regular Virginia
West Virginia is in the middle of the worst effected possibility maps, so yes. Every time there is a major Mid Atlantic blizzard, West Virginia blows things out of the park with absurd totals in 40+ inches.

More detailed breakdown
