“What are the facts? What is Uranium One?” questioned Shep Smith on Fox News, the home of conservative television coverage of American News. Smith then went to debunking the false conspiracy theories lodged against Hillary Clinton over Uranium sales. “First, the Clinton State Department had no power to veto or approve that transaction. It could do neither… The accusation is predicated on the charge that Secretary Clinton approved the sale. She did not.”

Angered that a man stated the basic fact that the State Department is not in charge of such transactions, and therefore nothing illegal occurred, conservatives flocked to Twitter:

Jeff Sessions was asked why he hadn't started a special council into Uranium One at the Senate hearing yesterday, to which he essentially answered "because it's bullshit".

Edit:

"I appreciate yesterday's letter saying you were considering appointing a special counsel that you sent to us," Jordan said. "But my concern is we sent you a letter three and a half months ago asking for a second special counsel. And if you're now just considering it, what is it going to take to get a special counsel?"

"It would take a factual basis that meets the standards of the appointment of a special counsel," Sessions responded after Jordan read off a list of reasons why he believed an appointment was necessary. "We will use the proper standards, and that's the only thing I can tell you, Mr. Jordan. You can have your idea but sometimes we have to study what the facts are and to evaluate whether it meets the standard that requires a special counsel."

After another heated exchange, Sessions said, "'Looks like' is not enough basis to appoint a special counsel."

Wow, an intelligent politician being cautious knowing that if he pursues these accusations, the whole thing could blow up in his face and give Democrats years of ammo. What a traitor. /sneed

Good on him for having the integrity to contradict his asshole peers. We need more of that everywhere. Also pizzagate is real.

I'm asking to see the Shep facts!

Anyway, it's amazing to see how people can no longer handle the difference between fact and opinion.

Shepard Smith is an unstable little man. He once rammed a woman with his car because she was standing in a parking spot he wanted. He screams obscenities at people when he's upset and doesn't much care where he is when he does.

Smith has a history of siding against Fox News, the right wing, and reality in general. He opposed reporting on the Baltimore riots, sided with #takeaknee, insisted that the G20 riots were not riots, and has openly supported the Russian Election Hacking conspiracy theory.

Why are these people surprised he's also taking a pro-Hillary position on this one?

(Though I hope this puts paid to the idea that Fox News is some kind of monolithic extremist right-wing Nazi factory. Seriously, this guy is way up on the totem pole, and he's been doing this for years.)

"Why are these people surprised he's also taking a pro-Hillary position on this one?" Read, my friend. Read.

Look, I concur that these guys are way overreacting. My thinking is, like, where was the outrage when he was facing prosecution for aggravated assault with a vehicle? And why is the outrage at him, when they should be asking why Fox News hired a guy who would otherwise be that dumbass whose trips to the county jail for drunk-and-disorderly are more regular than the atomic clock?

They should have fired him after he cried on live air about all the people dying during hurricane Katrina.

Just because he's on your favorite channel, doesn't mean he's gonna be yo favorite. Lel

Reporter reports facts, crucifixion at 11.

"FAKE NEWS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Fucking alt-right and conservative autists. Of all the shit you could go after Clinton for, including deep throating Wall Street and the Saudis (who are causing a literal genocide in Yemen), you go after spurious bullshit and pretty much the only good reporter on Fox. Fuck off, seriously.

The more sensational the bullshit the easier it is for either side to believe it and the the quicker they will be to go completely mad when it is proven false with facts.

Yeah, they aren't nailing her ass for Hatch act violations concerning the Saudi's and Pissraeli's. Lets you in on how much of it is pure bullshit.

the Saudis (who are causing a literal genocide in Yemen),

You're wrong; IF the blockade continues, there will be millions of deaths from starvation, but that isn't yet the case. And generally, induced famines are not thought of as genocide. Regardless, why would anybody be salty over what will literally be the first good thing EVER done by KSA?
