Sheriff Judd is unequivocally based. He's the best example of Florida Man ever.

"If a looter breaks into your home and comes into your home while you are there to steal stuff, then you take your gun and you shoot him. You shoot him so he looks like grated cheese because you know what? That's one looter who won't break into anyone else's home and take advantage of them when they're the most vulnerable and the most weak," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
Y'ALL GETTIN' THAT?now with an official Bobble Head

Reposting this, because this guy must be stopped!
Be On The Lookout for Snow Miser. He's our #WarrantOfTheDay.
It's January, so Polk Countians expect cooler weather, but freezing and near-freezing weather is too much.
Snow Miser is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office for turning the city of Winter Haven into a non-Haven of Winter.
Snow Miser should be considered armed and dangerously cold. He may be armed with snow balls and sharp icicles.
His prior criminal history against the public includes: causing shivers, goosebumpery, giving the cold shoulder, incessantly singing Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice, Baby," impersonating former Secretary of State John Kerry, killing countless plants across the Sunshine State, and busting water pipes.
If you see Snow Miser, go indoors immediately...or at least swap out your shorts and flip-flops for jeans and sneakers.

32-year old Jose Horacio Santiago Aguirre from Mexico seems like a nice guy, but even nice guys can get #ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice.
Jose's story with us starts Monday evening, January 27th, at around 9:13 pm.
Deputy Sheriff Leon was conducting an investigation in the area of 8th Street NW and Oak Avenue in Fort Meade.
A gray 2017 Chevy Silverado pulled up to the scene, and Jose stepped out of it. He approached Deputy Leon and said, "Oh, I thought you were my buddy Daniel."
Jose had confused Deputy Leon with another deputy.
Perhaps Jose was mistaken because all of our deputies look alike in those green pickle suits. Or maybe it was because Jose just couldn't see well through his watery, bloodshot eyes.
Yep...Jose was showing signs of intoxication. He was slurring his speech, and swaying side-to-side. His breath smelled of alcoholic beverage.
Jose performed field sobriety tests. Not very well though.
Deputies arrested Jose on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and took him to the Polk County Jail, where he provided two breath samples of 0.225 and 0.226 (well over twice the legal limit).
Jose Horacio Santiago Aguirre was charged with DUI 0.15 or higher (m1).
Oh, and Daniel, if you're reading this....Jose says hello.

what an odd thing to say...all of our deputies look alike in those green pickle suits
Over the weekend, crime tried to take a bite out of us… You read that right. A suspect bit K9 Zorak—AND his two-legged partner, D/S Wade.
Our PAW-ficersof the law responded to what they thought would be a wellness check that turned hairier than Zorak, fast. Two men were reported to be passed out in a car with a baby in the back – not a very safe situation for the baby.
D/S Wade was immediately concerned for everyone’s well-being and tried to wake the driver to make sure he & his passengers were OK. The driver, Angel Acosta, began attacking D/S Wade and bit him on the forearm…
K9 Zorak quickly came to his partner’s aid, and Acosta decided it would be a good idea to bite Zorak, too. Luckily, our crime-fighting duo were able to safely take the suspect into custody before he got a chunk out of either of them. D/S Wade and K9 Zorak were both injured, but they are okay.
Acosta was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, battery on a K9, resisting arrest with violence, and possession of cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
