Speedrunning is just sad, man. Videogames are entertainment, turning beating them fast in to a life's work is sad. Imagine all the other things he could have accomplished instead, and what he could have to show for it. Learning an instrument, a language, taking up some form of art or exciting outdoor activity, hiking, travelling, cooking, anything. If he had devoted all his Spongebob time to only 1 of these things, imagine how much better life would be. He could even continue playing Spongebob in his spare time for entertainment if he still wanted to.
It has to be a status thing really, being able to state you're the greatest in the world at something, but when all it amounts to is raging in front of a camera for the majority of your time to the occasional validation of autists and trannies on Twitch and Reddit, where the fuck is your life headed bro you're gonna troon out or kill yourself eventually it's inevitable.
