Yes. He has played other games and had fun with them. He used to play COD BO2 multiplayer with his staff from 2 am to 4 am after speed run attempts.

He got up to the Abyss Watchers fight in Dark Souls III one time and seemed to enjoy it.

There's also countless Meme Stream vods he did around Christmas. Mediashare earrape was a fun era.

SHiFT usually just speaks about the run itself, its history and whats currently happening in the BFBB community and speed running at large,
granted these are topics hes extremely knowledgeable and passionate about, So he will go on at length about them in a way that only someone knowledgeable and passionate about can.

Aside from that, he'll talk about what his plans are for his channel, how hes currently feeling and what his future plans are.

In the hundreds and hundreds of hours ive watched him he once spoke about how much he likes breaking bad and saulgood mans character.
he mentioned recently he wants to have kids with his girlfriend so we can assume hes straight

the thing is, he stopped making these videos bc at a certain point he’d only be talking about his own achievements.

Everyso often he mutes his mic and leans over to snort a line. You can see him fidget with his nose after. It's really obvious once you know what to look for. I'd try to provide evidence but I think most of his unedited VODs are paywalled. The main reason he likes to play a fry cook in a videogame instead of being a fry cook in real life is probably that he can't constantly do lines at McDonald's without getting caught. No wonder he's so angry all the time; he's constantly coked out of his mind.

At first I thought this was outlandish, and that you're just joking. Then I remembered that I've seen him perform these gesture many times, just never thought much about it.

You may be on to something.
 
If he's moving onto other yellow man games, he's got a handful of enemies in those communities to fend off. SHiFT has tendencies to be a scorched earth kind of guy.
 
People saying it's sad that he did this for a living instead of a normie hobby like guitar playing or some other skillset is flawed.

The reason why he does this is because he figured out he is good at this. It's that simple. If he would be a guitarist he would most likely be below average. Or any other normie hobby which is saturated to hell and back with talent of non autistic people. Time doesn't equal skill. I have seen many people practice a shitload on guitar for example they never hit the skill levels of someone who inherintly was good at it for some reason.

There is a reason why people do the things they do. Often it's because they found out they were good at it and that's the reason why they keep doing it. In this case it's speedrunning a specific game. That's why they enjoy it. They are good at it. It's not that deep. It is a logical thing that happened.

If it wasn't for speedrunning the guy would probably do some other autistic hobby if he were good at it.

He probably has some mild autism. This is what he's made for. Deal with it.
 
now that this is settling in, i cant help but feel like this is such a narcissistic display from shift. he wants his fans to parade him as this champion of the game passing on the torch, the savior of BfBB. how could he expect anyone to sympathize with his hand pain when its entirely self inflicted? i think he knows deep down that he’s just not that good anymore, and the second anyone challenged him even slightly he folded and had a total fucking pussy meltdown. he’ll never get the sub 40 he’s always wanted, so his cope is to act like he saved the game. he genuinely believes he’s the reason rehydrated was created, thats the levels of narcissism we’re dealing with here. fuck this loser, don’t feel any sympathy.

I'm predicting once the sub a thon is over he will "unretire" from the game he said he wasn't against doing a BFBB speedrun just for fun which could very well be him just trying to get his foot back in the door
