I finished collage and have no direction. Is it worth it to enlist? I heard the air force is not as bad as the other branches. Give me advice and information.
If you are set on enlisting instead of trying to make the most of whatever it is you went to college for, here's a bit of advice I'll offer:
- Reserves/National Guard offer more civilian balance than Active Duty, but the total contract length can last longer than Active's 4 years so bear that in mind (especially with how shit things are looking geopolitcally)
- Score high enough on the ASVAB so that you can choose whatever MOS you want, and read into them well to see not only what they'll be doing out in the field but also whatever bonuses they might offer
- No-brainer but get yourself in shape, there's gonna be more emphasis on endurance and cardiovascular capacity than anything else
if dying for gay rights in botswana is your idea of a career go right ahead. Just 2 decades ago I would have joined the military but its zogged and trooned now.
No. It's the dumbest thing you could do right now. Imagine all the people you went to college with, lower their IQ by like 40, and then imagine living with them.
