Should I have stayed and help the cashier clean up the mess I made?

I was getting a fountain soda at the gas station today and after filling up the cup I sat it down on the counter to grab a lid. While reaching for the lid, I accidentally nudged the cup with my arm and caused it to tip over and spill all over the counter and on to the floor.

Nobody seemed to notice, but I did inform the cashier of my mistake. He was very friendly about it and told me he would come clean it up. I refilled my soda cup and checked out with the other cashier. While I was waiting in line, the first cashier grabbed some towels and started mopping up my spill.

As I drove away I felt guilty that I didn't at least offer to help him out. This has been eating at me all day. Am I a bad person?

It was a 32 oz. Mellow Yellow if that makes a difference.

In my opinion, no. As a customer service worker my thoughts would be to just get you to leave. You already are too fucking dumb to pour a drink in a cup like an adult. I don't trust you to not fuck the place up trying to 'help clean'.

Not saying that you actually are dumb, just that's what goes through my head when someone makes a mess.
