I agree regarding pornography, but that's because it's currently legal, so we do need to restrict that freedom (has little to do with anonymity), the others are not legal so that freedom is already restricted. I suppose catching them would be easier if we reduced anonymity, but it's a balance; we should trade some of it but privacy is necessary to a degree.

Regular people would still be able to email and Zoom with each other, but only if you have their contact information.

Using forums, for example, shouldn't be restricted just because a minor may potentially use them, there should just be steps taken to prevent that from happening.

You realize that only a few generations even used the Internet for school, right (and millennials just barely, some of the youngest ones)? People got by just fine without it, in fact education was objectively better before so there's an even better argument for going back to the old ways. Regardless, we could even make some exceptions like for supervised schoolwork, if necessary.

As for age verification, require by law that companies keep information confidential and immediately erase records. Easy.

Okay, let's settle this once and for all:
-The highlighted Aquarion post only proves that I post on /m/, not that I posted the squirrel.
-Liking some of the same shows as Duel doesn't prove anything -- not to mention that I do like some shows he hates, like Turn A and Macross Plus (I have criticized the latter before but I still enjoy it), and I do hate some of the shows he likes, such as Macross Delta and Cross Ange.
-Watching Aquarion Logos and picking up some preconceived notions about it because of Duel does not prove that I am Duel. Rather, it proves that I like watching weird, obscure shows to see if I've found a hidden gem of some sort and will use a variety of sources to this end. For what it's worth, I once tried getting into Neptunia because of CWC; does that make me CWC?
-I have never shilled ARR. That was a hyperbolic jokey statement about corporate shills on 4chan.

As this drama has now fascinated other KFers, I owe you all an explanation, for both the fail Duel ID and my behavior on this forum. I'm possibly doing a very stupid thing, but I want to get this sorted.

There is a 4chan spammer called DuelGundam2099 (aka AlienHulk2099/Twin Drive Sigma Aquarion/Captain Shark/Yapool Seijin/Aquarionoid, etc) who has a 20-year internet history of being banned from and alienating almost every forum he has used (which is over 100): Toho Kingdom, MAHQ, AnimeNewsNetwork, MacrossWorld, and so on. From what I've seen, the behaviour that got him banned consistently was dragging people into stupid arguments and threatening suicide when things didn't go his way.

Around 2012/2013, he started using 4chan's /m/ and he took advantage of the anonymity to spam the entire board with his opinions and contrarianism. The first instance of this involved the anime Valvrave the Liberator, and though that show isn't well-liked, Duel was absolutely buckbroken by it and spammed /m/ with the same image macros and anti-Valvrave threads constantly. This is confirmed because he bragged about using /m/ and posted those same macros on his forum accounts, and he became known as "Valvrager" on /m/ through this. He did the same "rager" spam act with other shows, such as Iron Blooded Orphans, Infinite Ryvius, Key the Metal Idol, SSSS.Gridman, and Active Raid, and upheld shows that most people thought were mediocre-to-bad such as Juushinki Pandora, Nobunaga the Fool, and Gundam Build Divers as not only the objective best, but also beloved by the community (mostly through samefagging).

Eventually people pieced together that all this spam on /m/ was coming from this old forum user who constantly got banned from wherever he posted, and they called him out -- but to this day when that happens, Duel will claim that he committed suicide in the mid-2010s/isn't real/isn't active and that all the posts calling him out are from a single spammer called "Duelrager" (an attempt to turn his Valvrager persona back on the board calling him out). This is easily disproven since several of his old accounts (EvaGeeks, Wikipedia, etc) are still active. Today he uses the anonymity of 4chan to turn /m/ into his personal playground, which currently includes:

-Spamming the same images in threads that have hit bump limit to artificially inflate their repost count on Desuarchive (during the Valvrave spam his macro became the most reposted image on Desuarchive, which it still is to this day). Subject matter includes "cute" anime mascots (Beargguys, Pitz the squirrel, the dog from Fate/, AMAIM mascots, etc) and various stale memes only he posts. After spamming these threads, he creates a low-effort slide thread to get the threads he spammed his images in archived.
-Working with the sub group Anonymous Russian Rippers (ARR), which produces exceedingly low quality anime subs for old, obscure shows, and shilling their "work" on /m/. ARR subs are either guessed, machine-translated from a foreign dub (usually Italian), or stolen HK crabsticks, and they're often mistimed and filled with swear words/meme buzzwords that weren't in the original.
-Spamming his "/m/ wiki" to get it included in the OP of the Super Robot Wars general on /m/. This wiki has several issues, such as having no pages on shows he hates such as SSSS.Gridman, no images, and poor organization (only information for powerscaling is given, franchises are lumped into single hard-to-navigate pages, and he refuses to include behind-the-scenes info and plot/character summary). The wiki has been disavowed by /m/ for all the reasons above, but he continues to spam it and claim it is the "board's wiki".
-Spamming a recommendation chart that is tuned specifically to his tastes and includes shows that are disliked/considered mediocre by the community (Juushinki Pandora, Nobunaga the Fool, Gundam SEED, Gundam Build Divers, Great Dangaioh) while claiming it is the board's official rec chart.
Duel claims to be asexual, but he's actually a huge degenerate. He is a massive bondage fetishist who uses the handle Aquarionoid for porn, and despite his protests, there is a years-long trail that has proven this again and again:
-His EvaGeeks account alludes to bondage fetishism and justifies it as "not a fetish".
-There is a Deviantart comments section from 2013 where someone claims Aquarionoid is Duel.
-The Aquarionoid account on the /m/ booru posts all the things only Duel posts (Beargguy macros, Pitz MS Paint drawings, etc), but alongside bondage.
-The Aquarionoid account on WesternCivilization (bondage porn forum) has posted about the same shows at the same time Duel was posting about them on /m/'s "what are you watching" threads. Duel's current MyAnimeList account (Sky_Star_Storm) updates with the shows that get posted by this particular user in these threads every time, and these posts have many of Duel's tells (spam images, autocorrect issues, etc).
-Aquarionoid's bondage blog (now private, but archived) had all the same anime girls as Duel's anime harem.
-The account Duel used for art commissions on Deviantart (unidentified-nobody) involving his signature obsessions (anime mascots, powerlevels, etc) had bondage on it as well. Sadly this is not archived.

On MacrossWorld, Duel claimed that the age of consent should be 15 and that jailing people for preying on teenagers is "miniscule garbage". When called out on this on /m/, he doubled down and said that both pedophilia and cannibalism should be tolerated because there's no community worth caring about in society.

I got roped into this when the lolicon/shotacon defenders thread on here was blowing up and someone on /m/ saw my posts in that thread. Because I had recently asked about pedophilic undertones in Kamen Rider Build after reading an /m/ thread about that a while ago (Duel has repeatedly claimed that Kamen Rider Build was the worst tokusatsu ever made, which I now strongly disagree with -- I've seen Build recently and loved it), they came to believe I'm Duel using this account to LARP as a "pedo hunter" and project my own pedophilia onto others. Their "smoking gun" is that I made the same post on both KF and /m/ about the new Aquarion a few posts after Duel spammed a Pitz image, that I used one of Duel's meme phrases, "talkahol", (which IIRC had been in a screencap that was passed around during/after G-Witch's airing), and that I picked up a few preconceived notions about Aquarion Logos from Duel. I explained the rest in my previous post ITT, but here a few miscellaneous points I haven't mentioned yet:

-Duel has been posting online for 20 years, which is just shorter than I've been alive. If I'm Duel, I must have started terrorizing anime/tokusatsu forums when I was a baby. Duel claims to have been born in 1990/1991 on his Evageeks account, so he's much older than me.
-Duel claims not to read manga or rewatch shows. I have posted about doing both of these things on KF.
-I got into anime and 4chan in the 2020s and you can see me blogging watching certain shows on here. Duel had watched many of those shows years earlier (you can see this on his old MAL account).
-I made a post saying that permabanning Duel from /m/ isn't the best way to deal with him. It's very easy to evade 4chan bans, so it's ineffective. It would be more effective to ban his spam images, nicknames, wiki, and any other spammy behavior since that is the biggest problem with his posting. I also made a post hyperbolically saying that "Duel is an asset to the board" since thread quality had heavily decayed in November 2024 and his low-effort slide threads were better than many of the other threads at that time (which were mostly bait/meme/porn threads).
-I stopped posting in the lolicon/shotacon defenders thread after being accused of being Duel because I didn't want to derail that thread with this drama. The ironic thing is that before I was accused of being Duel, I was considering making a thread on him here, but that never came to be because I couldn't archive much of his old forum activities. I'd still be willing to do that if someone is able to find and archive his oldfag forum posts -- but if you incorporate me into Duel's personas, you are not talking about Duel.
-The evidence that Duel is Aquarionoid is far stronger than the "receipts" used to claim I am Duel because there have been near-parallel lineups between Duel and Aquarionoid for over a decade that are impossible to explain away. /m/ archives frequently bring up how for Duel not to be Aquarionoid, there have to be at least two Aquarionoids that both love Duel's macros and MS Paint drawings. The "receipts" used to claim I am Duel are some hyperbolic statements, one borrowed phrase, one misattributed phrase, and a few similar anime opinions, despite there being several other different anime opinions (I love Goldran, Five Star Stories, and Turn A, which Duel hates, and have documented this on KF) and the time frames not lining up. I think the Baskin Roberts spam on /tv/ is funny; that doesn't make me Sethy Boy.

Anime hate has been an interesting path for me. I really like many things about anime, but I have never felt fully comfortable enjoying a medium with such ties to degeneracy.

I got into anime after watching RID2001 all the way through; it broke my previous conception of anime being weird porn shows and opened me to trying other shows. I later watched Sailor Moon (I picked this because I heard it was a kids' show, so I thought there wouldn't be coomer stuff) and Evangelion (it was everywhere online after Netflix picked it up) and those shows got me hooked -- not for waifus, but because they were unlike anything I had seen before, even if I don't think they're good now.

Despite being girly and repetitive, I enjoyed how dark and dire Sailor Moon got at times, how the backstory was about a parallel dimension with a highly-advanced moon civilization (in contrast to previous media I had consumed, which usually involved creator gods and had the Earth as central), the little references to Greek mythology, and how it used all sorts of colours and art styles I hadn't really seen in a cartoon. I only watched the first two seasons the movies, and read the manga because I was using the DIC dub on Archive and I didn't like when the dub switched.

Evangelion is infamous for pedophilia, but at the time it was far darker and more visceral and angsty than any show or book I had consumed. I was blown away (in a good way) that End of Eva showed a spiritual apocalypse, which I had only seen in Narnia. The Christian imagery and terms made me think it was a lot deeper than it actually is for a while. When I discovered that Gainax had other shows like Gunbuster, FLCL, Wings of Honneamise, and TTGL, I watched those all and through them I got into other anime genres and shows, like 80s OVAs and movies (from which I got into Gundam), Ideon (from which I got into real robot shows), and Gaogaigar (which I watched after seeing comparisons drawn between it and TTGL). I watched Macross when I found out Gainax people like Yamaga and Anno had worked on it.

However, over time, I became more and more uncomfortable about anime being pedo-adjacent. It came to a head late last year and earlier this year, when I had been watching anime for so long that the novelty wore off, and the new Gundam anime G-Cucks was announced. In the former situation, I was starting to wonder what I was still doing with anime (though still enjoying it) and questioning what I really liked about it and if it was worth it. In the latter situation, I was disappointed that yet another Gundam show would be a "little girl anime" (I had said good things about G-Witch before, but I was being optimistic, and as time went on after it ended it got more and more disappointing to me), and it had me go back and reevaluate the franchise as a whole and shows like it for a while. I never watched the ending episodes for G-Cucks but from what I hear it's utterly stupid and mind-numbing. The watermelon avatar slapfight was mostly bait.

Romance isn't a favorite genre for me and anime romance in particular isn't something I enjoy. It's too sickeningly sweet and feels insubstantial. I did watch KareKano, but only because I heard it used FLCL's animation style and had a paper animation episode.

If I've angered too many people and you want me to buzz off of KF entirely, I'll do so. My month-long vacation has been nice and internet slapfights aren't worth this.

It looks like someone on Onion Farms either stole my old KF username (they make parody accounts of KF users, like 3322) or used a semi-obscure pun for a username (you can see it used in Desuarchive quite a bit -- apparently there's a /mu/ namefag dubbed Sailor Troon, and I never used /mu/ outside the classical threads a few times).
