Should we bring back public executions? - You could probably sell tickets to fix the roads.

If the government is going to kill people, then yes it should be public. The whole point is to be a deterrent.
Method? Up to the state, or federal government.
No children allowed. No sales of any kind.
No participation, just spectators.
For what crimes? Again that’s up to states and the federal government.
Personally? I’m against DP because it’s a waste of time and money and a massive drain on victims families and the legal system. It’s not an effective bargaining tool either for plea deals.
Also I don’t like the idea of our government putting people to death.

No. Some crazy people will further their crimes because they'll want the attention that a public execution gives them. The greatest deterrence to crime and punishment is killing ego, making someone completely worthless and forgotten, while being consciously aware of it. Murderers should rot away in a shitty prison with shitty food and no way out. Send some cameras in there every once in awhile to remind people what it's like.

I get why people would want to bring them back, but it's uncivil. It won't restore faith in the institutions.

I also think the DP is a waste of time and money, but I do think it is an effective plea bargaining tool. A lot of defendants plead guilty and avoid the trial altogether when they know it takes the death penalty off the table.

Basically Colosseums at that point which would be interesting and remind one of the idea that America is a collapsing empire
Eh, I dunno. If you wanted to do that wouldn't a better way be to subvert educational institutions, brainwash the deplorables into thinking that they're the opposite gender so that they mutilate themselves and render themselves infertile, and then make that group of people as popular a spectacle as you possibly can through concentrated media attention disguised as support for their identities?

If someone did something heinous enough to warrant death, then it's also heinous enough to warrant a public death. Why have a little room and a chair when you can have Vlad the Impaler tier corpse forests around cities?

Do you know how low crime would plummet? Of course, we'd have to ensure they were guilty beyond any doubt, but God be with them if they are.

Hell yes, and we can make the entire trial something like idols. After found guilty we can use the wheel of fortune to determine the way of execution, will it be stoning or to the lions he goes...round and round and where the wheel stops nobody knows.
